Carolyn Bourne's Emails To Future Daughter-In-Law Heidi Withers Go Viral

Now making the Internet rounds: a set of obnoxious emails from a British mother sent to her future daughter-in-law. The subject of the correspondence: the bride-to-be's "staggering uncouthness and lack of grace."

According to the Evening Standard, Carolyn Bourne sent three harshly-worded missives in one day to Heidi Withers, who is engaged to marry Bourne's stepson Freddie, after the couple spent a weekend at the Bourne's family home.

Apparently the weekend did not go as well as Heidi might have hoped, as her future mother-in-law a.k.a. Emily Post Wannabe criticized her manners, her taste and her parents' finances.

Below is the email message that has been most widely circulated, as Heidi sent the email to a few of her own friends, who then sent it across the Internet.

We recommend reading this rude diatribe on rudeness in a British accent to get the full effect:

It is high time someone explained to you about good manners. Yours are obvious by their absence and I feel sorry for you.

Unfortunately for Freddie, he has fallen in love with you and Freddie being Freddie, I gather it is not easy to reason with him or yet encourage him to consider how he might be able to help you. It may just be possible to get through to you though. I do hope so.

Taraji P. Henson Talks 'Larry Crowne,' Tom Hanks

The name Tom Hanks means something.
With over three decades on our screens, small and large, he's more than an actor: he's a draw, a guarantee, a promise of some sort of emotional experience. When Tom Hanks says 'come see my movie,' well, audiences do just that. And, as it turns out, even in a jaded Hollywood, with its backstage machinations and egos galore, Hanks has the exact same magnetic pull on his fellow actors, no matter how big their stature.
Taraji P. Henson, a veritable star with an Oscar nomination under her belt, felt the pull immediately upon learning that Hanks wanted her for his new passion project, "Larry Crowne." It's the story of a blue collar big box retail employee who gets fired and heads back to junior college, but before she even knew that much, Henson had excitedly accepted the role.
"Apparently, Tom wanted me involved. So he called my manager and my manager called me and said, Tom Hanks really wants you to be in his movie and I said, sure," Henson told The Huffington Post in a conversation Tuesday. "And my manager was like, maybe you should read the script first, and I was like, 'No, I don't have to read the script, it's Tom Hanks, that's a no brainer. I don't care, I could play a tree or a rock, it's Tom Hanks.'"
As it turns out, the "Benjamin Button" star didn't have to play scenery to get into the film; she tackles the role of Hanks' next door neighbor, B'Ella, a working class woman who hits it rich when she and her husband, played by Cedric the Entertainer, win the lottery. Hanks' character, the titular Crowne, isn't so lucky as he struggles to stay afloat amidst house payments, schooling and a job as a short order cook. And while he's a multiple Oscar winner who has played war heroes and detectives, among many other glamorous roles, Henson says his magic lies in his ability to be the everyman.
"He's one of those actors who can just take on any role," she said. "What I think is so great about him is, because he's still a very down to earth, big, big superstar, it makes it easier for him to play these common characters, like regular people, and believe it, and not be Tom Hanks. Some people get too big and you can't separate the star from the character."
As Crowne begins cleansing himself of old, lonely habits, Henson and Cedric are cleansing their lives of all the clutter that accumulated as they held on for dear financial life. Throughout the film, they're found hosting a massive garage sale -- and interestingly, though it was Hanks' invitation that led her to agree to the film, it was the garage sale aspect that sold her on the character she was playing.

Bahrain Protest Violence: Police Fire Tear Gas, Stun Grenades At Demonstrators

Riot police in Bahrain fired tear gas and stun grenades Thursday to disperse thousands of opposition supporters gathered near the square that was the epicenter of the nation's Shiite-led demonstrations earlier this year, an activist said.
The violence is a setback to efforts by the tiny island's Sunni rulers trying to open reconciliation talks with the Shiite opposition in the Gulf kingdom.
Activist Nabeel Rajab said the protesters at Manama's Pearl Square chanted: "Down, down Hamad" – a reference to the Bahraini monarch. They also demanded that all demonstrators, opposition leaders and activists, detained during the deadly crackdown on the Shiite-led campaign for political freedom and greater rights, be released.
No injuries were immediately reported during Thursday's demonstration.
The violence came a day after Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa announced the creation of an independent commission that will investigate allegations that protesters' rights were violated during the anti-government demonstrations that erupted in February.
The announcement was an apparent effort by the Sunni monarch to draw opposition groups into the government-sponsored talks, set to begin on Saturday.
Washington has encouraged dialogue in the island nation, home to the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet, and had urged the monarchy to meet some of the opposition's demands.
But the king's appeal for dialogue got a cool reception from opposition groups. The leaders of the biggest Shiite party, Al Wefaq, have not yet decided whether they will join the talks.
Reports by Bahrain's rights groups that another protester died on Thursday as a result of injuries he sustained during the unrest could further erode Wefaq's appetite for reconciliation talks with the monarchy.

Selena Gomez Talks Parents' Divorce: 'I Blamed My Mom A Lot'

n an E! Entertainment special that aired Wednesday night, teen queen Selena Gomez opened up about her parents' divorce.
Gomez, who was 5-year-old when her parents split, blamed her mother for the divorce--something she deeply regrets.
"I blamed my mom a lot [for the divorce] because I wanted a family so bad," Gomez said. "I wanted to have my mom and dad together. I remember just being angry with my mom. I still feel really bad about that."
Her mother Mandy Teefey, who became pregnant at age 16, recounts her daughter's difficulty coping with the split. "[Selena] would vent and yell at me and all I could do is just say, 'I'm sorry--but you'll understand someday,'" she said.
Today, Gomez defends single-parenthood and is grateful for her mother's many sacrifices.
"Having me at sixteen had to have been a big responsibility. My mom gave up everything for me and had, like, three jobs. She supported me, sacrificed her life for me," she said.

Medical Experts: Kim Kardashian's Butt Is Real

Kim Kardashian is going to great lengths to prove that her enormous bum is au natural.

The reality star just had her tush x-rayed to show the world that there are no foreign objects in her cheeks that would cause that massive rump roast of hers
A RumorFix reader pointed out to us that if Kim had one particular procedure done, an x-ray would prove nothing. That procedure is called the Brazilian Buttock lift, an operation that entails removing fat from other parts of the body and recycling it in the buttocks.

RumorFix reached out to a couple of medical experts to get their take on Kim's behind and whether it's real or not. Here's what they had to say.

Dr. Drew Ordon explains, "With our dear friend Kim and her x-ray, clearly there was no prosthesis, there is not a butt implant, but with the classical Brazilian butt lift, yes, you’re using your own fat which you’re taking from one part of the body which you’ve gotten from liposuction and putting it in another part of the body. And on x-ray you would not be able to tell if that was done so she may in fact had the classical Brazilian butt lift using her own fat.
