  • Edwards gets debut ton as Windies battle

Kirk Edwards hit a century on his Test debut as West Indies reached 224 for six on the fourth day of the third and final Test against India in Dominica on Saturday.
West Indies have a lead of just 81 runs with four second-innings wickets remaining after three wickets near the close put the tourists back in command.

India lead the three Test series 1-0 and while West Indies theoretically still have a chance of levelling the series, the tourists will surely fancy their own chances of ending on a high with a second Test victory.

The only glimmer of hope for West Indies is that Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who in this Test broke the record for most Test appearances for the Caribbean team, is still at the crease having made an ultra-patient 73 from 201 balls.

Skipper Darren Sammy will resume with Chanderpaul on Sunday and with only the tail to come he will need to produce a real captain's innings if they are to set India a challenging target.

It could have been a different situation had Indian not picked up those three wickets late in the final session.

Barbadian Edwards finally went caught behind off Harbhajan Singh, the 26-year-old having made 110 from 195 balls and become the 13th West Indian to score a century on his debut.

Marlon Samuels lasted just three balls - trapped lbw by Harbhajan and then wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh was a victim of the new ball - pushing a simple catch to Abhinav Mukund off Praveen Kumar.

It was a soft end to what had been a solid and gritty recovery from West Indies after India had made early inroads before lunch.

Kieran Powell edged Ishant Sharma to Suresh Raina at third slip and then fellow opener Adrian Barath also played at a ball he could have left alone - diverting a Kumar delivery to Virat Kohli at fourth slip.

Minka Kelly Cheers Boyfriend, Yankee Derek Jeter's 3,000th Hit

The story will be about New York Yankee captain Derek Jeter becoming the first player in Yankee team history to eclipse the 3,000 hit plateau, but what about his girlfriend Minka Kelly?

As the cameras panned to Derek Jeter's family attending the game between the Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees, it was no surprise that actress Minka Kelly was right in the middle of the shot. The Friday Night Lights star, who is usually talked about for her hair, her fashion or her acting, was attending the game to watch her boyfriend reach the historic hit plateau.

With Minka at the game, showing off her newly styled curls, people might start to believe that she is Derek's good luck charm. Jeter went 5-5, as Ms. Kelly cheered from the stands and the Yankees won the game! Needing only two hits to reach the milestone, Minka brought him five.

Though she didn't Tweet about the occasion, ESPN's Kevin Negandhi was quick to suggest what Jeter should trade with the fan in the left field who caught the home run ball that was Derek's 3,000th hit. Negandi said on Twitter:

So far a date w Minka Kelly is your clubhouse leader for the Jeter request for the baseball.

Now that would be a request. It is doubtful that Jeter or Minka Kelly would go for it, but if the Yankee fan who caught the ball doesn't at least ask, he is probably nuts.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part Two

HARRY Potter star Daniel Radcliffe revealed this week that acting had driven him to drink.
And I know exactly how he feels.
His acting's often driven me to drink too. Particularly during that difficult Half-Blood Prince "k.d. Lang lookalike" phase.
Yes, the Harry Potter film series has had more unsightly wobbles than Hagrid doing squat thrusts on a Power Plate.
Not just for Daniel - who, let's be clear, is brilliant in this final chapter. But in terms of looks, script, pacing, casting and everything else to boot.
When things clicked, boy did they click. Philosopher's Stone, Prisoner Of Azkaban and Deathly Hallows Part One all had an awesome, heart-swelling and uniquely British power that no other family fantasy film series could touch. (I'm looking right at you, Aslan old son.)
But when they didn't (all the others) the films were fiddly scene-by-scene replicas of books that really needed to be kicked into a movie-like shape before being put on the big screen.
The good news - the frickin' brilliant news, in fact - is that Deathly Hallows Part Two is a better ending than the saga probably deserves. Because not only is it the perfect companion piece to last year's brooding, suspenseful and frostily beautiful Part One, it's pure blockbuster cinema done right (not counting 10 minutes of unavoidable straight-from- the-book plot clunkery at the start).
The story kicks off with the same kind of brief, wordless scenes that set up Part One so well.
Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes doing a Brian Sewell impression) has just pinched the Elder Wand from Dumbledore's concrete death bunker.
Snape (Alan Rickman, looking more and more like the lead singer in a Cure tribute act) is overseeing the Death Eaters taking charge of the remaining Hogwarts students, including Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) and Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis, who finally gets a chance to shine and NAILS it).
And Harry, Ron and Hermione (Daniel, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson) have regrouped at Shell Cottage, before they continue on their quest to destroy the remaining horcruxes.
While the film doesn't make any efforts to explain this set-up to newcomers, there's unlikely to be any of them in the audience anyway.

Pregnant and proud: Jessica Alba drapes her curves in a summer dress as she says it's better to show a baby bump than hide it

She said earlier this month that she feels much happier showing off her baby bump than trying to hide it.
And Jessica Alba did just that as she stepped out with adorable three-year-old daughter Honor wearing a cute blush-coloured summer dress with a peach cardigan.
The 30-year-old actress took Honor to pick up some baby supplies at Bel Bambini in Beverly Hills before the arrival of the new addition to her family later this summer.
In a recent interview with Latina magazine, Spy Kids 4 actress Jessica said she had embraced the changes pregnancy has made to her body, and is proud of her new figure.
She said: 'If you are sporting a pregnant belly, it's better to show it than to hide it.
'The more figure-forming your clothes, even though you have more curves, the better.
Curves: Jessica said in a recent interview she would rather draw attention to her bump than try and hide it

The Only Way is gusty for Lydia Bright who struggles to control her dress as the TOWIE gang helicopter in for the Duke of Essex Polo Trophy

If you're going to be arriving for a social event by helicopter then you have to make sure that there will be no wardrobe mishaps on arrival.
Something which Lydia Bright clearly didn't take into account when she got out of a helicopter that had flown her to a VIP event in her native county today.
The Only Way Is Essex star was snapped struggling with her dress as she climbed out of a helicopter to join the rest of the cast at the Duke of Essex Polo Trophy in Gaynes Park, Epping.
Caught in the breeze from the aircraft's blades, Lydia unwittingly flashed her black sparkly pants as she started to walk across the lawn.
Realising what was happening, she grabbed her white dress and tried to pull it down before she cleared her windy path and laughed in embarrassment as she finally managed to smooth her frock down.
And she took to her Twitter page to post a picture of her with her co-stars and said: 'Me & the gals fab so far. Apart from the slight incident when my dress flew up from helicopter!'
Lydia was one of several members of the TOWIE cast attending what they consider the highlight of their summer social calendar.
Now fully bonafide VIPs since the huge success of their reality TV show, the gang were brought to this year's event by helicopter, giving them the full five-star treatment.
The gang never miss the event and it was where Lydia met James 'Arg' Argent a few years ago.
Peter was this year's guest of honour and opened the match by throwing a ball at the start of the game.
And Alex arrived with new girlfriend Chantelle Houghton who looked very pretty in a maxi dress with an unusual green, white and black print - although she had to call on Alex to help untangle her when she caught her heel on the hem.

Katy Perry Insists New Smurfs Flick is Family-Friendly

KATY Perry insists there will be none of her usual risqué antics on show when she takes to the big screen as a Smurf.

The sexy singer — who’s married to British comedian Russell Brand — provides the voice of Smurfette in this summer’s Smurf movie but she insists her performance and animated alter ego, unlike her music videos, will be completely family friendly.

“It’s a great film that all ages can enjoy,” says Katy.

“There’s no sneaky innuendo’s or sort of taboo things. It’s a positive story, it has a sweet side, there’s a great message. It’s just one of those ‘you can’t go wrong’ type of films. It’s very family orientated.”

Perry recently spoke of her love of the Smurfs.

“I love the Smurfs,” she said.

“They’re so cute. I want all the t-shirts and toys even now. In fact I should be getting them free with me being Smurfette. I can start a whole collection.”

Emma Stone Has Girl Crush on Christina Hendricks

    EMMA Stone fancies Christina Hendricks!

The actress — who’s currently dating her Spider-Man leading man Andrew Garfield — revealed has a crush on the Mad Men star in an interview with America’s Advocate magazine.

    “Christina Hendricks,” said Stone.

“It’s a no-brainer. Everything about her does it for me. That’s my kind of woman.”

Emma recently admitted she used to suffer from panic attacks.

“I was in therapy. From 8 to 10, I was borderline agoraphobic,” she said.

“I could not leave my mom’s side. I don’t really have panic attacks anymore, but I had really bad anxiety. There was a lot of fear, but [coming to Hollywood] was also very exciting.”

CELEBRITIES are making a splash in seriously showy swimwear this summer.

A regular old two-piece just doesn't wash any more as reality stars and WAGs vie to be queen of the wahey-ves.
These days their cossies and mono-kinis are covered in flowers, ruffles, hoops and straps or piled up with more extras than a branch of Accessorize.

Rihanna and Lady GaGa started the craze, stepping out on stage in daring two-pieces designed to cause a stir.

Designer line ... Chelce Hall is the Essex girl behind the TOWIE bikinis

And now the TOWIE girls are getting their swimwear custom-made by blonde Chelce Hall.
The 20-year-old Essex girl was working behind a bar in Marbella when she started designing her own swimwear.
Today she works full time at home with her mum and dad in Chigwell to create made-to-measure pieces, and is branching out into evening wear with her new company By Chelce Designs.
Every bikini is made to measure - usually after a personal consultation - and can take up to four weeks.
Prices start at £65 and go up to more than £200, depending on the level of detail.
Chelce says: "I like being different. I've never wanted to look the same as anyone else.
"I started designing my own bikinis to stand out and soon people were commenting on them and asking me to make pieces for them.
"I've been friends with Lydia Bright for years and she was the first of the TOWIE girls to wear one of my designs.
"After she wore the 'Valentine' bikini, I had hundreds of enquiries - now there's a waiting list.
"Another favourite is the sunflower bikini that Chloe wore at the pool party.
"Flowers are definitely a big trend for the summer.

"But the whole point of my swimwear is that it's different from anything else around, so once I've finished those orders I'll start on totally different designs to keep things interesting and individual.
"I know not everyone gets my designs. Some people would feel really silly in them and think they are OTT. They are meant to be fun but also stylish.
"Anyone can follow fashion but not everyone has style. It takes a certain type of person to carry off the more out-there looks.
"Today, people are dressing up for the day as well as the evening. Your poolside look is just as important as your going out look."
Here, we pick our favourite totally overboard poolside outfits plus show you how to pimp your bikini.
