Hansika Motwani has clarified the reports about her insecurity with her co-star of Velayudham, Genelia D’Souza. The actress claims that they are good friends and they never had any issue on the sets of their upcoming Tamil movie.

It all started after Jayam Raja, the director of Velayudham, claimed in an interview that he sensed insecurity brewing between Genelia D’Souza and Hansika Motwani on the sets. Clarifying the report, the Engeyum Kaadhal actress says that she does not agree with his statement and it is the case of miscommunication.

Hansika Motwani further adds that they were not insecure about their roles and did not have any problems during filming. The actress concludes that she does not mind sharing screen space with other actress.

In an LA Times profile on Kenny Wormald, the newly-minted heartthrob sheds a little light on how he is approaching fame.

Two highly anticipated fall shows premiered tonight: Rachel Bilson made her return to TV as a New York doctor forced to move to Alabama in the CW's Hart of Dixie; and viewers got their first look at Terra Nova, Fox's ambitious prehistoric adventure series.

If any show had a lot of hype leading up to its premiere, it was Terra Nova. From executive producer Steven Spielberg, this series is the definition of ambitious: Set in an apocalyptic 2149, Terra Nova relies heavily on special effects, especially for its dinosaurs (including Brachiosauruses and T.rexes).

Lindsey Wixson may be one of our favorite gap-toothed models, but that's her only imperfection. The 17-year-old model, known for her plump pout and precious dimples recently took a tumble on the Versace Spring 2012 runway (an incident conveniently edited out of the show's video below). After years of steady patronage, corporate India is showing signs of cricket fatigue and the country's maiden Formula One race next month looks like being the immediate beneficiary

Indian companies have long loosened the purse strings for cricket while responding frugally to other sports, ensuring the cricket board remains a rare national federation that does not accept government grants. "My feeling is that it's going to change, at least for motorsport," Mahindra and Mahindra marketing and automotive senior vice president Vivek Nayar told Reuters.

"You have the most prestigious motorsport event coming to India next month and I know there will be a change in perception after Oct 30 (race day)." Nayar's company will supply the official intervention and support vehicle to the Buddh International Circuit, helping transport marshals around the track. The 2010 world championship enjoyed a 527 million global television audience but Formula One is seen in India as a niche sport, followed primarily by youngsters.

That is precisely the segment Indian telecom giant Bharti Airtel was looking for, said CEO (India and South Africa) Sanjay Kapoor. "We wanted to establish the brand as pro-youth and dynamic. After all, 65 percent of our population is below the age of 30," Kapoor said after his company bagged the title sponsorship, reportedly at a price of $8.5 million (5.37 million pounds) for a three-year period. "Formula One is very relevant at this juncture when we are trying to transform our business and trying to be a global brand. It fits very well with our overall strategy."

In a candid discussion with Ian Albiston, Vikram Gour got a chance to gain an insight on the Shell-Ferrari partnership as well as understand the world of Formula One through the oil filled eyes of Shell.

ZW: Firstly, with the Indian inaugural GP just around the corner, has there been any need to fine tune the fuel and lubricant mixture for Indian conditions? The Indian environment is rather dusty when compared to European circuits.

Ian: Actually we don’t need to do any special development for Indian conditions. Our lubricants are developed for extreme conditions and are put through simulations of the track well in advance. Having said that, we technically could work out separate mixtures for various circuits, however each fuel mix would have to be approved by the FIA beforehand. Also, coping with separate mixes could lead to other complications, namely the creation of a third mixture! You see, if I have two fuels approved by the FIA, however I end up finishing the first drum and then I use some from the second drum and it’s a different mix, the fuel in the car will be a combination of the first and second mixture which wouldn’t be FIA approved and this could lead to the team suffering a heavy penalty in terms of a fine or even worse, they could be disqualified from the race.

To avoid such situations, and since the fuel is regulated by the FIA, where they test the fuel before and after a race, we take no chances and use a well developed fuel for an entire season.

ZW: What are the logistics involved in transporting the fuel and lubricants to various races?

Ian: Discussions for the races happen at least three months prior to the event. Each country has its own lead time and since timing is critical we have a dedicated team to handle product logistics. In the case of India, all the products for the Ferrari Team left the United Kingdom on the 30th of August due to India’s custom regulations; we had to ensure we get the fuels out ahead of time and passed through customs in order to be well in time for the race.

Oscars organisers have laid down new rules which will ban voters from attending parties organised by film companies after nominations are announced on 24th January, ahead of the Academy Awards, to discourage wooing voters.

Academy president Tom Sherak has said that the rules will help in “protecting the integrity of the awards process” and to preserve “the distiction of the Oscars”.

The voters will be allowed to attend screenings by actors and will be permitted to watch copies of eligible films in their own homes.

“Above all, we want Academy members to see movies as they were meant to be seen, in a theatrical setting,” the BBC quoted him as saying.

The Academy also announced that a long-standing ban on negative campaigning against films and actors had been extended to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and members could be expelled from the organisation if they violated this rule more than once.

A strong earthquake struck off the Pacific island nation of Tonga on early Friday afternoon, seismologists said, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

The 6.4-magnitude earthquake at 12.07 p.m. local time (2300 GMT Thursday) was centered about 50 kilometers (31 miles) northeast of Niuafo'ou, a volcanic rim island with a population of around 600 people. It struck about 9.8 kilometers (6.1 miles) deep, making it a shallow earthquake, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, but the USGS estimated that people on Niuafo'ou may have felt moderate shaking which could potentially result in light damage. Some 55,000 people on islands farther away may have felt light shaking.
As earthquakes below magnitude 7 do usually not generate tsunamis, no tsunami warning was issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

Deceased pop king Michael Jackson's daughter Paris sleeps with one of her dad's jackets on her pillow, as she never wants the smell of her dad to go away.

Michael's mother Katherine, who is also the guardian for the late singer's three kids has revealed that Paris insisted on one clothing item worn by her dad as she does not want to let go off his scent to ever.

"She took a pillow and one of his jackets, and said, 'I don't want a jacket that's been cleaned. I want something with his scent on it.' She put the jacket over the pillow and she breathes it. It's still there," Contactmusic quoted the late pop legend's mother as saying.

"I don't ever want it cleaned. He's worn it and it smells of him and I don't ever want the smell to go away," Katherine quoted Paris as saying.

Katherine believes that Michael's kids would turn out to be "just like him", especially Paris who wants her wall filled up with her dad's pictures.

Jamey Rodemeyer, a 14-year-old boy from Williamsville, NY, took his life Sunday after what his parents claim was years of bullying because of struggles with his sexuality.

His parents, Tracy and Tim Rodemeyer, say that Jamey faced bullies for years, though things intensified in middle school, according to NBC 2. Jamey recently became a freshman at Williamsville North High School.

In the wake of their loss, the Rodemeyers hope to carry on a message of anti-bullying and acceptance. "To the kids who are bullying they have to realize that words are very powerful and what you think is just fun and games isn't to some people, and you are destroying a lot of lives," Jamey's father told WIVB.

Tracy Rodemeyer misses her son, but hopes the loss can still be used to teach a message of tolerance. "It took him away from our family way too early and we're just convinced that he had a purpose on this planet and it was to touch as many people as he could," she told NBC 2.

According to NBC, the Rodemeyers had gone to the school about the problem in the past. Jamey even sought counseling to learn to deal with the problem, but it seems it wasn't enough.

While they say their son seemed happy in the days leading up to the tragedy, his "It Gets Better" YouTube posting from May includes details about how intense the bullying was.

Through it all, Jamey remained outwardly optimistic. “That's all you have to do. Just love yourself and you're set. And I promise you, it'll get better,” he said in the video, which you can see in full below.

Gay bullying has been gaining increasing attention in the media, as a number of tragedies has brought the issue into the spotlight. Earlier this month the California State Senate passed "Seth's Law" a measure designed to curb anti-gay bullying in schools.

Corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Friday said Union Home Minister P Chidambaram would have been in jail in the 2G scam had there been a Jan Lokpal Bill.

"He would have been behind the bars if there were a Jan Lokpal Bill," said Anna from his native Ralegan Siddhi village in Maharashtra amid an Opposition clamour for resignation of Chidambaram in the 2G scam.

While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday alleged that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was stonewalling the probe against Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on the 2G scam despite evidence, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said he fully backed Chidambaram on the 2G issue.

The latest controversy was over the publication of a controversial note of the finance ministry that said that Chidambaram could have prevented the scam if he had acted as the then finance minister in 2008 to stop former telecom minister A Raja from issuing 2G licences at throwaway prices.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday said there was no discord in the union cabinet over the 2G controversy after Chidambaram's name was dragged into the turmoil following the publication of the adverse note okayed by Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

If Captain America action figures stretch stars and stripes over a super soldier body, a plastic model of attorney Mike Weiss would be its demented twin, instead covered in tattoos and scruffy beard wet with cocaine nose bleeds.

It was a part Evans was set on taking almost immediately after he began reading the script.

"Twenty pages in, it's one of those movies that I read that, if you really start liking something, I find that i just get on my feet and just start saying lines," Evans told The Huffington Post. "You almost start acting it, just feeling what it feels like with the words in your mouth. Halfway through, before I even knew where the movie was going, I was like, I wanna do this, I like this guy, I like this character."

Weiss and his partner, Paul Danzinger, are hired as the only firm willing to take on a lawsuit brought on by a nurse pricked by an HIV-positive patient's syringe. Now dying from the disease, she's suing to help make sure the ingenius accident-proof needles invented by her friend are used in hospitals to help others avoid her fate. Thanks to an array of secret kickbacks and bribes between hospitals and Group Purchasing Organizations, the inventor can't even get a meeting. The film sees Weiss cascade between philandering junkie to whip-smart crusader fighting passionately for the cause, even as the powers that be -- and his own, more cautious partner -- urge him to drop the case.

That juxtaposition, the often violent clash of his selfish and selfless ways, was part of the role's great appeal.

"It's a fun balance between -- he's such a vile guy. He has so many horrible qualities, but he still has to be likable," Evans explained. "So it's fun trying to toe the line between someone who you kind of want to strangle and someone you don't want to cut out of your life. He's still got this genius, he's still brilliant, he's still charismatic, he's still all these fantastic things, but kind of a dick. It's fun to try to find that balance.

Brought the story on a cold submission by Paul Danzinger himself, directors Adam and Mark Kassen warmed to it immediately. "Our assistant read it and said, You've really got to pay attention to this. It's raw but there's something here. And we really felt, wow, you know, if we can really take it and maybe give it some great structure, we can do some things," Mark explained. It helped that there was an emotional hook to it, too; their father owned a medical supply company and mother who worked as a nurse for over four decades.

Entertainment personality Steve-O has claimed that though Charlie Sheen is apparently playing a nice guy in public, he may not have changed all that much.

Sheen behaved in quite a civilised manner during the Emmys telecast last Sunday, besides managing to stay out of the headlines for any uncouth act over the recent weeks.

But Steve-O, who himself battled drug-addiction, feels that he has not turned sober yet.

“I shouldn''t say I know anything, but I don''t think so, no,” Fox News quoted him as telling Zap2it, when asked whether Sheen has improved.
