Beyonce’s ‘Love On Top’ Video Debuts:
Beyonce’s new video is a fresh take on a New Edition classic.
Really, it’s a lot more simple than it sounds.
The pregnant pop queen dropped the video for her single, “Love On Top,” which channels the template of the 80s boy band’s “If It Isn’t Love” video in both choreography and setting. Beyonce and company kick to the same dance moves that the group — fresh off the loss of Bobby Brown to a solo career — cut in ’88, and set the whole thing in a simple, bare walled dance studio, just as the R&B group did back during the tail end of the Reagan presidency.
Conspiracy theorists, enjoy this one: the star’s baby bump is much less apparent here, though that’s more than made up for by her awesome hat. There’s something about this song that brings out her sartorial best; remember, it was the first song she performed after announcing she was pregnant at the VMAs, and she was rocking a pretty fancy tux during that rendition.

Kenny Wormald Recalls Unflattering Mariah Carey Story, Wants To Be Like Justin Timberlake:

In an LA Times profile on Kenny Wormald, the newly-minted heartthrob sheds a little light on how he is approaching fame.

Most of the article hangs on his kind of freshness, his formative years as a back up dancer for Justin Timberlake and Madonna, his thick Boston accent, which he supposedly played up because “chicks dug it.”

And although he’s sitting pretty with a surprisingly well-received “Footloose” revamp under his belt, Wormald assures that he is no diva-to-be.

He recalled an unsavory instance that put things into perspective: Mariah Carey insisted that her assistant hold her straw while she drank.

“I don’t want to be like that,” he said, shaking his head. “I want to be how Justin [Timberlake] is. He talks to the people at catering. He looks people in the eye.”

Two highly anticipated fall shows premiered tonight: Rachel Bilson made her return to TV as a New York doctor forced to move to Alabama in the CW's Hart of Dixie; and viewers got their first look at Terra Nova, Fox's ambitious prehistoric adventure series.

When we reviewed both shows, we weren't shy about our genuine interest in them, especially Hart of Dixie, which we said we wanted to hug the crap out of. So did you want to hug the crap out of the charming dramedy as well? And do you still want to hang with the dinosaurs over at Terra Nova?

Bilson stars in Dixie as Dr. Zoe Hart, a gifted surgeon who moves to a small town (Bluebell, Ala.) to hone her bedside manner. Zoe soon meets the town's inhabitants, including the charming town golden boy George Tucker (Friday Night Light's Scott Porter); his difficult Southern belle fiancée, Lemon (Jaime King); Lavon (FNL's Cress Williams), the mayor who shares a complicated history with Lemon; and bad-boy-next-door Wade (Wilson Bethel), whom Zoe drunkenly hooks up with in the first episode. We just love the old-school WB throwback vibe of the show; it's Gilmore Girls meets Everwood and is the perfect show to watch while relaxing with a glass of wine. Well done, Josh Schwartz & Co. Well done.

If any show had a lot of hype leading up to its premiere, it was Terra Nova. From executive producer Steven Spielberg, this series is the definition of ambitious: Set in an apocalyptic 2149, Terra Nova relies heavily on special effects, especially for its dinosaurs (including Brachiosauruses and T.rexes).

Lindsey Wixson may be one of our favorite gap-toothed models, but that's her only imperfection. The 17-year-old model, known for her plump pout and precious dimples recently took a tumble on the Versace Spring 2012 runway (an incident conveniently edited out of the show's video below). While she recovered in time to continue her catwalk, we wonder what Donatella had to say after the show.
This isn't the first time Wixson has stumbled; the Wichita, Kansas native also fell last May when walking the runway for Fashion For Relief in Cannes. Let's hope this doesn't become a pattern.

A show that's clearly meant to be just a chick-filled homage to all the other pretty chick-filled versions of Angels (the original of which, mind you, was never heralded for its acting achievements) and you're aiming a sexist, snob-harpoon straight at poor Minka? We think she does fine at the job for which she was hired. She also does an even better job off-camera with those reported bitch-slap stories! Also, I don't believe Minka's claims that she was a surgical nurse at one time have been uncovered, as yet, as a sinister lie. Perhaps that detective work's going to have to be yours, dog.
