  • After the glitz of Hollywood Kate flies back to 'just enjoying being a newly-wed'

The Duchess of Cambridge has signalled that she will be taking a step back from public life, despite her hugely successful first foreign tour.

She has told royal aides that following the 11-day trip to Canada and the U.S. – her inaugural trip as a member of the Royal Family – she intends to spend the rest of the summer ‘just enjoying being a newly-wed’.

Kate and William arrived at Heathrow yesterday after flying from Los Angeles on a British Airways scheduled flight. They had received a rapturous reception in Canada and California, with Kate’s regal glamour stealing the show at a party for Hollywood A-listers on Saturday.

They will travel to Scotland with the rest of the Royal Family for the Queen’s annual holiday at Balmoral.

After a long summer break Kate and William will undertake a handful of engagements in the run up to Christmas – just one or two a month.

A source said: ‘The past few months have been a whirlwind and she just wants to take a step back and spend some time with her new husband.
‘She has even joked that people will probably be glad to see the back of her given the number of photographs that have been taken over the past couple of weeks.’
A St James’s Palace spokesman yesterday confirmed the couple’s plans and stressed that William, too, was keen for a break from public duties.
‘The Duke is going for his flying captaincy which he hopes to get in early 2012. He needs to keep up his flying hours and there are some exams to get through, a lot of work needs to done and he has to dedicate himself to that,’ they said.

Models on the run: Brooklyn Decker tries to keep up with Heidi Klum on her 100,000 mile summer run

As a fit Sports Illustrated model and the wife of a champion tennis player, few would leave Brooklyn Decker in their wake.
But the gorgeous 24-year-old was left looking puffed out after a run today with fellow model Heidi Klum.
Brooklyn joined Heidi on her daily jog today as part of her AOL summer run and the pair, suitably, ran along the Brooklyn Bridge.
Heidi has pledged to run 100,000 miles for the challenge, which she started on June 20. So far the Project Runway host has completed 14,647 miles.
Brooklyn is one of a number of Heidi's A-list friends that she's enlisted to join her on her daily runs, including Miranda Kerr, Kim Kardashian, Michael Kors and Coco Rocha.

Another day, another stunning bikini for Victoria's Secret model Karolina Kurková as she enjoys a family holiday in Italy

She wowed onlookers yesterday by showing off her enviable figure in a stunning Missoni bikini, while enjoying a family holiday.
And today, Victoria's Secret model Karolina Kurkova was sporting yet another glamorous two-piece as she relaxed on the island of Ischia, off the coast of southern Italy.
With her blonde hair up in a loose ponytail, the 27-year-old carried her 21-month-old son Tobin Jack down the hotel steps to lounge by the pool.

She joined her film producer husband Archie Drury on the sun lounger, before taking little Tobin for a swim in the childrens' pool.
There was no mistaking her model figure in the bikini, although she seemed to have developed a few tan lines from her previous day's sunbathing.
The star has previously revealed that she didn't have too many problems regaining her stunning figure after giving birth last October.
'I didn't gain much weight, and I think the secret was really staying active throughout my pregnancy,' she told W magazine in May.
'I did Pilates, a lot of weight training, I walked a lot and I travelled. And I was eating really healthy, taking good supplements and vitamins, drinking green juices and just making sure I was putting the best stuff in my body.'

Inside my new life: Sarah Jessica Parker poses with her adorable twin daughters for Vogue

She is usually fiercely protective of her privacy.
But Sarah Jessica Parker provided a rare sneak peek into her domestic life she posed for a new editorial spread alongside her family for America's Vogue magazine.
The 46-year-old actress looked elegant and demure as she watched over her two-year-old twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha, in one beautiful shot from the pictorial.
The twins, who were born in 2009 via a surrogate, look suitably adorable in baby doll dresses and Mary-Jane shoes as they play in a chaotic, but still oh so stylish, kitchen.
In another frame, she covers her ears while her son James, 8, plays Rock Band with his friends and even recruits her husband Matthew Broderick for a sophisticated black and white portrait.
Still, she insists she isn't always thrilled by the attention her family attracts and admits that she's considered leaving New York for a quieter life.
'You do start to understand the behind-the-gate mentality, the getting in the car in your driveway, but I can’t imagine living in seclusion.

Still one super model at 42: Helena Christensen shows off her age-defying body in a bikini

It's been 20 years since Helena Christensen stripped off in the video for Chris Issak's Wicked Game.
But amazingly it looks like time has stopped for the age-defying supermodel as she showed off her amazing figure on holiday in Italy.
The Danish beauty, 42, looked as trim as ever in a multi-coloured floral bikini as she worked on her tan on the island of Ischia.

Despite her age and become a mother to son Mingus in 1999, Christensen appears just as slim as she did during the height of her supermodel fame in the Nineties.
The model-turned-photographer is vacationing on the island off the coast of Naples during the annual Ischia Global Festival.

Cindy Crawford, 45, still has her sensational supermodel figure as she slips her curves into a bandage dress for new campaign

She began her career in the early 80's at just 16-years-old.
But almost three decades later, Cindy Crawford proves that she still has her supermodel figure as she poses for a new campaign for Deichman Shoes in the middle of a busy New York street.
The 45-year-old beauty looked stunning as she showed off the sexy curves that made her famous in her heyday, by slipping into an aubergine Herve Leger bandage mini-dress for the shoot on Tuesday.
Cindy was one of the original supermodels alongside Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, and Christy Turlington who reached the peak of their careers in the early Nineties.
The star recently said she felt sorry for today's models as she thinks it's much harder to be one these days.
She said the girls on the runaway and in magazines are shrinking and haven't got the curves of their predecessors.
'I just saw the CoverGirl commercial with Taylor Swift and I thought, "Wow, it is so hard for models to get a job these days".

Kristen Wiig In 'Imogene': Passion Project Gets Green Light

When Kristen Wiig wants to make a passion project, well, Hollywood now knows to listen.

Having co-written and starred in "Bridesmaids," the surprise early summer hit that recently became the biggest R-rated female comedy of all time, Variety reports that Wiig has earned a pickup for "Imogen," a comedy she's championed for a while now.

Back in March, Wiig gave Indiewire a synopsis of the film, saying, “It’s basically about a girl who kind of pretends to kill herself... to get her recently ex-boyfriend’s attention. She ends up having to go live with her mom, whom she hasn’t seen in years."

Indiewire has quotes from Wiig on a number of her other potential starring roles, which, collectively, mark a long-in-the-making, well deserved transition from standout supporting actress. Wiig, one of the top names on "Saturday Night Live," had previously excelled in comedies such as "Knocked Up," "Paul," "Date Night" and "MacGruber," the "SNL" big screen adaptation in which she played second to Will Forte.

Wiig also recently nabbed another TV role; she'll voice Lola Bunny in the new "The Looney Tunes Show".

Mia Amber Davis Died From Blood Clot In Lungs

Mia Amber Davis, the plus-size model and "Road Trip" actress who unexpectedly passed away during routine knee surgery in May, died from a blood clot in her lungs, E! Online reports.
The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office released an updated death certificate after an autopsy and a series of toxicology tests were performed, finding that Davis had a pulmonary thrombo-embolism.
According to TMZ.com, Davis' husband Michael Yard believes that the surgery was responsible for the blood clot, claiming Davis was healthy before arriving at the hospital. The site explains, he "asked the Coroner's Officer if it meant she died as a result of the surgery...but the office said they could not give a definitive answer."
Davis' death shocked her supporters two months ago. The beauty was best-known for her work with Ashley Stewart, being the face of Jill Scott's Butterfly Bra, a cameo in the movie "Road Trip," and serving as Creative Editor-at-Large for Plus Model Magazine.
