  • 'I thought I was going to die': Miranda Kerr reveals her excruciating labour with baby Flynn

She usually exudes something of a superwoman persona - pinging back into shape mere weeks after giving birth, and preaching the virtues of her organic lifestyle.
But model mother Miranda Kerr has revealed for the first time that her natural birth with baby Flynn was far more difficult than she first let on.
In a new interview, Miranda reveals: 'I actually thought I was going to die at one point and left my body.'
Speaking to Australian InStyle magazine, the 28-year-old says: 'I was looking down on myself - the pain was so intense
The Victoria's Secret Angel poses for the cover of the magazine in a Grecian-style gold gown with a plunging neckline and slit that shows off plenty of leg and cleavage.
Despite the Australian insisting that she was not afraid of her famous figure changing after childbirth, she has clearly had little trouble regaining her pre-pregnancy body.
'(Flynn is) a big baby, 4.5 kilograms at birth, and I thought to myself, "I have so much more that I want to do aside from modelling. I can live with my body not being in shape if I have a healthy son. It’s worth it".'
She also tells the magazine that Orlando is a hands-on father, and that the couple share parenting duties equally.
'It's whoever has their hands free,' Miranda says. 'When I'm not working we don't have a nanny.
'Some nights we have a lady who comes in to help out but he [Flynn] is getting better at sleeping now, so not as often. And if I need to get on a plane for one day of work, I pump my milk and put it into the freezer for Orlando.'

A girl for all seasons: TOWIE's Maria Fowler Gets Set For a Steamy 2012 As She Poses for Sexy Calendar Photo Shoot

She might have been unfairly described by one of her cast mates as nothing more than an 'extra'.
But there are not many walk-on parts that lead to your very own calendar, as Maria Fowler has proved.
And if these sexy pictures are anything to go by, The Only Way Is Essex star is set to get pulses racing every month next year, making her a household name in more ways than one.
Maria, 24, is seen in a number of poses - and two pieces - as she posed for the camera on the shoot, which took place in Sandbanks, Dorset.
And Maria also appeared to move with the seasons as she slapped on the fake tan during the shoot, possibly to get the desired effect for her summer photos.
Maria follows in the footsteps of TOWIE co-star Amy Childs, who revealed to the Mail Online recently that she had just shot her 2012 calendar in Dubai.
Maria, who is good friends with Lauren Pope, was first introduced in the first series of TOWIE but had more of a reoccurring role in the last series.
And Maria plans to make sure she is just a big a name as Childs, Mark Wright, Lauren Goodger and even Kirk Norcross - who was the one that called her 'just an extra' - when the new series starts in September.
She also slammed reports that she hadn't been sacked from the show and said: 'It’s all crap, they have a formula that works. Why change it?

Hoping for a discount? TOWIE's Billie Faiers shows off her curves in a low-cut jumpsuit as she shops for a new car

The Only Way Is Essex star Billie Faiers certainly caused a commotion yesterday as she went shopping for a new car.
The 21-year-old star donned an incredibly low-cut jumpsuit as she popped to her local Audi garage to check out the latest models.
Perhaps hoping for a discount, Billie seemed oblivious to the stares her outfit was attracting as she tested out vehicles including a £34,995 soft-top.
And the reality TV star looked delighted with her potential purchase as she sat in the vehicle and tested it for comfort.
Billie teamed her jumpsuit with a pair of platform sandals for her day of vehicle shopping, which came before she joined the rest of the TOWIE gang at T4 On The Beach.
Billie has been working hard to lose weight in recent months before the summer starts, and the results certainly show.
Speaking recently to Closer magazine, Billie said she started to gain weight when she first appeared on The Only Way Is Essex.
Billie, who lives in Brentwood, Essex, said of the vigorous regime: ‘It was difficult as I love bread and pasta, but carbs were off the menu.
‘But after a few days I had more energy and when I could see the change in my body it was easier to stick to.'
Meanwhile, as she visited the Chester Races with sister Sam earlier this week, Billie bumped into stars including Coleen and Wayne Rooney.
And the celebrity couple are said to be such big fans of the ITV2 show that producers have approached them to appear in a cameo role when the third series begins later this year.

Back in fighting shape: Mission Impossible 4 actress Paula Patton shows off her bikini body in teeny two-piece

Just one year after giving birth to her first child, Mission Impossible 4 actress Paula Patton has slipped back into a string bikini.
The Los Angeles native was joined by her husband, R&B singer Robin Thicke, today as she strutted around the beach in Miami, Florida.
Wearing a tiny brown string bikini and Chanel sunglasses, Paula, 35, showed off her curves as she frolicked in the water.
Later, the svelte star drew looks of admiration as she took a break from working on her tan and relaxed under an umbrella.
In April of 2010, the actress and her Grammy Award-winning husband, who is the son of actor Alan Thicke, welcomed their first child, a son named Julian Fuego.
Paula is in Miami this weekend promoting her latest films, at the 15th annual American Black Film Festival.
The actress won critical acclaim in 2009 for breakout role as a concerned teacher in the gritty, Academy Award-winning film Precious.
The star, who attended film school at the University of Southern California has recently seen her career soar.
In May, she starred in the urban comedy, Jumping the Broom which cost just $6 million to make and earned nearly $40 million.

Nudism helped me to love my body at last

When friends told me about Britain’s first naturist spa hotel in Birmingham — Clover Spa, which opened in March — I couldn’t help but giggle as they expressed their horror at the very idea of holidaying naked.
They pondered the discomfort of sunburned bits and shuddered at the thought of baring all for the world to see. Little did they know that I’d already been to a naturist spa, and loved it.
I have always been insecure about my body. In fact, for the first year of our relationship, my husband never saw me naked in daylight.

In the morning, when I was having a shower, I would pull the blinds in the bathroom to keep it in semi- darkness. In the bedroom, I favoured candlelight.
Though it may sound silly to some, back then, my body felt like the stuff of nightmares — I have stretch marks, dimples and lots of flabby bits.
On a good day, seeing myself naked would prompt me to go to the gym on my way to work. On a bad day, it would cause me to spiral into depression.
A year into our relationship, Joe and I got married at his father’s home in Florida. Surely, now that we were wed, I’d feel more at ease?
I wasn’t. In fact, being in Florida made the situation worse.
While the family frolicked on the beach in tiny bikinis and swimming trunks, I watched from a sun lounger, sweating under a long black skirt and T-shirt.

Voluptuous Playboy model Shauna Sand leaves little to the imagination as she hits the beach in a tiny green bikini

With her ultra curvy figure, tiny green bikini, and long blonde hair, former Playboy model Shauna Sand certainly made an impression as she hit the Miami beach today.
The 39-year-old model showed off her somewhat striking figure in the itsy bitsy two piece, which left little to the imagination.
The former Playmate splashed around in the surf, at one point even running into the sea, revealing an ultra toned figure.
The green bikini also showed off the model's deep tan to optimum effect.
But there was no sign today of Sand's 25-year-old husband Laurent Homburger, following recent reports that the pair were getting a divorce after just one year of marriage.
The New York Daily News reported that Sand was seeking an end to the marriage after a turbulent few months which saw her file a restraining order against Homburger after both were arrested following an argument in May.

Sand was previously married to Frenchman Romain Chavent who she divorced in 2008 after two years of marriage.
The model is known for her roles in TV shows Charmed and Renegade, where she met her first husband Loerenzo Lamas, who she wed in 1996, the same year she was named May's Playmate of the month.
They have three children together Alexandra, 13, Victoria, 11 and Isabella 10.

Pregnant at 15, daughter of Britain's most prolific single mother (And, of course, she's on benefits - just like mum)

She tells her children to do as she says and not as she does.
But the words of mother of 14 Joanne Watson – who receives more than £2,000 a month in state handouts – have fallen on deaf ears.

Her 15-year-old daughter Mariah is pregnant, the father has ‘left the scene’, and the youngster is about to start living off benefits.

Mrs Watson, 40, is raising her giant brood alone after parting from her husband John, 46, three years ago, and breaking up with subsequent partner Craig le Sauvage, 35, last year.
Despite this, she has still managed to squirrel away enough cash for a £1,600 breast enhancement and a sunbed. She claims she has always encouraged her daughters to use contraception – but, inevitably, it seems they would rather follow the family tradition.

Mariah’s pregnancy comes after Mrs Watson’s oldest daughter Natasha, 22, got pregnant with her son Branford, now six, when she was 16. Her second eldest daughter Shanice, 19, also got pregnant at 16 with her 22-month-old son Marley.

Mariah says she has no concerns about becoming a teenage mother, as it seems the most natural thing in the world. Initially, she and her child will be supported by the taxpayer.

She is expected to move into a housing complex for single mothers and will receive supplementary benefit and child allowance for her baby.

The youngster, who is due to have a boy, said: ‘I’m not nervous. I’ve been around babies my whole life so I know what to expect and that I can handle it. The father isn’t involved and I don’t want him to be either. I’m really excited and think I will be a great mum.’
Mrs Watson, who had her first child at 18, said: ‘Of course no one wants their teenage daughters to get pregnant.

‘I’ve always urged them to use contraception – but if they refuse to there’s not much I can do about it. But I don’t believe in abortions, and Mariah wanted to have the baby, so now I just have to do my best to support her.

India Train Accident Leaves At Least 31 Dead, 100 Injured

Officials say the death toll from a train derailment in northern India has risen to 60 as more bodies are being pulled out of the mangled coaches.

The senior army official in charge of rescue operations at the accident site says volunteers and soldiers have pulled out 60 bodies from 12 coaches of the Kalka Mail, which went off the tracks Sunday afternoon.

Col. Amarjit Dhillon told the Associated Press on Monday that many more bodies were trapped under the twisted coaches and soldiers were using gas cutters to slice through the metal.

Rescue workers working through the night rescued many of the more than 100 injured in the accident near the town of Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh state.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.

FATEHPUR, India (AP) – Rescuers searched for survivors in the wreckage of a packed express train that derailed in northern India on Sunday afternoon, killing at least 31 people, while officials said a second train derailment hundreds of miles (kilometers) to the northeast appeared to have been caused by a remote-controlled bomb.

Rescuers were working to reach the second derailment, which occurred late Sunday night in a rural area of Assam state, injuring at least 100. The two railway incidents did not appear to be related.

In the first crash, the Kalka Mail train was on its way to Kalka, in the foothills of the Himalayas, from Howrah, a station near Kolkata in eastern India, when 12 coaches and the engine jumped the tracks at Malwan station, near the town of Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh state, senior railway official A.K. Jain said.

The cause of the derailment was not immediately clear but it appeared that the driver applied the emergency brakes, Jain said.

At least 31 people were killed and rescue workers pulled at least 100 injured passengers out of the wreckage, said Brij Lal, a state police official.

Hours later, the second train derailed in the northeastern state of Assam, injuring at least 100 people, said S.K. Roy, a local magistrate.

Local police suspect that a remote control-triggered bomb caused four coaches of the Gauhati-Puri Express to be thrown off the tracks in the town of Rangiya, about 30 miles (50 kilometers) west of the state's capital, Gauhati, Roy said.

    S. Hajong, a local railways spokesman, said two of the four coaches plunged into a pond and casualties are feared.

Roy did not blame any rebel group and no one has taken responsibility for the attack so far. More than 30 groups in northeastern India have been fighting for decades for independence or wide autonomy in the region, about 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) east of New Delhi.

It was the third train accident in India in the last four days. A train hit a bus at an unmanned railway crossing last Thursday, killing 35 people.

In Fatehpur, the accident site was a pile of twisted metal. At least one coach flew above the roof of another ahead of it and was dangling precariously, television footage showed. Another coach was thrown away from the rest of the train.

Somalia Drought Is 'Worst Humanitarian Crisis': U.N. Photo Gallery

The head of the U.N. refugee agency said Sunday that drought-ridden Somalia is the "worst humanitarian disaster" in the world after meeting with refugees who endured unspeakable hardship to reach the world's largest refugee camp.
The Kenyan camp, Dadaab, is overflowing with tens of thousands of newly arrived refugees forced into the camp by the parched landscape in the region where Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya meet. The World Food Program estimates that 10 million people already need humanitarian aid. The U.N. Children's Fund estimates that more than 2 million children are malnourished and in need of lifesaving action.
Antonio Guterres, the head of UNHCR who visited Dadaab on Sunday, appealed to the world to supply the "massive support" needed by thousands of refugees showing up at this camp every week. More than 380,000 refugees now live there.
In Dadaab, Guterres spoke with a Somalia mother who lost three of her children during a 35-day walk to reach the camp. Guterres said Dadaab holds "the poorest of the poor and the most vulnerable of the vulnerable."
"I became a bit insane after I lost them," said the mother, Muslima Aden. "I lost them in different times on my way."
Guterres is on a tour of the region to highlight the dire need. On Thursday he was in the Ethiopian camp of Dollo Ado, a camp that is also overflowing.
"The mortality rates we are witnessing are three times the level of emergency ceilings," he said. "The level of malnutrition of the children coming in is 50 percent. That is enough to explain why a very high level of mortality is inevitable," he said.
Dr. Dejene Kebede, a health officer for UNHCR, said there were 58 deaths in camps in one week alone in June.

Most of the deaths take place at the registration office and transition facilities of the refugee camps in the southeastern Dollo region of Ethiopia, the health officer said.

4 Things That Are Terribly Wrong With the Jack and Jill Trailer

Hey, remember how in Funny People Adam Sandler's character starred in a bunch of bad big-budget movies? Well, Sandler's dual-role comedy Jack and Jill, in which he plays a man and his own sister, totally seems like it could be one of those fake films. Except it's real, and it's less than spectacular. The trailer is full of lazy jokes and cliches — but before you watch, check out the four things that I've pinpointed as the most offensive elements.

    1. Katie Holmes is in this. I appreciate Holmes trying to add some comedy to her career, but why on earth she chose this movie for that purpose is beyond me.
    2. Adam Sandler doesn't need to make this movie. He's funny and certainly doesn't need the paycheck. Echoing the above sentiment: why?
    3. It's not funny. Where are the laughs? Sorry, Sandler in a wig and a dress isn't enough. They couldn't even spring for some good prosthetics?
    4. We've seen this movie before. It's called Norbit.
