  • Ashley Greene In A Glamorous Blue Dress

Twilight" star Ashley Greene attended last night's Avon Foundation Awards Gala in a sleek blue asymmetrical gown. The bombshell brunette paired her dress with a black box clutch, black pumps and a sparkly ring (hmm...) on her left hand.

Fergie hosted the awards, which highlight the Avon Foundation's philanthropic efforts and promote fundraising for causes that are the most important to women, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New York.

First Interview In Australia, E! Cameras Stay Home

The upside of being a reality star is that it's possible to monetize every move you make, no matter how mundane or common it may be, especially if you're a Kardashian. The downside is that it means that every move you make is also fodder for intense public speculation, especially if you're a Kardashian. That family has televised and cashed in on so many aspects of their lives that it's now hard to tell just what their aim -- and sincerity level -- is following the news that Kim is divorcing Kris Humphries, but as the symbols of a new evolution (devolution?) in entertainment, it's certainly worth speculating about.

Following a day of "insiders" insisting to various news outlets that Kim is indeed upset about her divorce, and that her marriage was in no way a shame, Kim took to her blog to explain herself and express authenticity. Having let that marinate overnight, she's just given her first interview about the split, again promising true heartbreak.

"I don't think I'm ready to go into, you know, the details of what went on in my marriage," she told the interviewer. "But I do want to make clear that I would never marry for a TV show, for money, for anything like that. I think that's really ridiculous that I have to even defend that... I guess, you know, that comes along with when you film your wedding for a reality show."

Here's the thing: the interview took place at a radio station in Australia, where she flew yesterday to promote one of her many clothing lines. Not accompanying her on the trip? TV cameras from E!, the network that airs all of the Kardashians' programming. The executives at E! are allegedly in a bit of a state of panic; on Monday, they continued airing repeats of the highly successful wedding special that first broadcast on October 9th; according to the New York Times, the network had planned on ramping up repeat airings, with a graphic noting the impending divorce, but changed course at the last minute on Tuesday.

Still, the network defended their airing of the wedding at all, with network head Suzanne Kolb saying, "The program model of television doesn't exactly keep up with the life model of real people."

That's for sure. Later this month, they will be airing the next season of "Kourtney & Kim Take New York," which was filmed in September and October -- or, during the transition from Honeymoon period to breakdown.

How will those episodes do in the ratings? Will people tune in to see what went down, or will they be disgusted by the whole saga and avoid it? And going forward, what will E! be allowed to film? Without a doubt, they'll want to continue making new Kardashian shows (it is a shared lifeblood for the family and network), and so they'll have to capture some divorce proceedings. How real will it get?

'X-Factor' Rigged My Elimination With Deal

Former "The X Factor" contestant Dexter Haygood said he wasn't pushed off Fox's new singing contest. He jumped.
Haygood was among five contestants eliminated from the show last week. But the rock singer with the James Brown rasp said that what viewers saw didn't reflect the whole story, including a behind-the-scenes agreement to ensure the swift exit he wanted.
According to Haygood, 49, who was part of mentor-judge Nicole Scherzinger's group of age 30-plus contestants, he told Scherzinger two days before last Wednesday's live performance show that he was dissatisfied with "X Factor."
"I wanted to leave the show because I was unhappy that I was unable to be a rock artist. I grew up on rock," said Haygood, of Memphis, Tenn., who enjoyed the spotlight in the 1980s as frontman for the rock group Xavion, which toured at one point with Hall & Oates.
Being called on to do pop songs such as Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" and Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" was aggravating, Haygood said: "Can you imagine Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger, James Brown, doing (the `Crazy in Love' chorus) `uh oh uh oh uh'?"
Producers "seemed to have their way of doing things. I'm not sure why they wouldn't let me be me," he said Tuesday.
Scherzinger, former member of the Pussycat Dolls, took his complaint to the show's producers and came back the same day with an offer, according to Haygood: He would be bounced on Thursday's results show if he agreed to return for the season finale.

Jersey Shore' Complaints And Cash Concerns

Though she's one of the world's biggest reality TV stars, Snooki insists that her public image is more fictional projection than an actual reflection of her personality. So when you see her partying all day and night, drunk with her famous roommates and making memories by the half hour installment, just know that there's a different girl on the other end of that camera.

In a new interview with GQ -- what she calls her first "real" interview -- the pint sized reality star/WWE diva/pitchwoman teases a different side of Snooki, revealing the things that "Jersey Shore" doesn't put on air, and what she would show if she were in charge.

"I wouldn't show as much drinking and partying," she tells the magazine. "I would show more of us chilling out and having a good time -- which they don't show. We don't even drink those nights, but we laugh all night. They don't show anything but us drinking and hooking up."

    But why?!

"I don't know. Maybe because of the success of the show they think that if they don't show us drinking and hooking up then it wouldn't stay successful, but I think that if they showed the sober side of us people would like it even more and it'd even change people's minds about us," she says.

Still, the show has offered her some financial opportunities that wouldn't come with a calm, happy show. She made $750,000 last year, according to The Daily Beast, and she's not being extravagant with her cash... unlike one of her co-stars.

Emma Stone flashes her devious eyes at the camera as paparazzi snap photos of her on the set of her latest film "The Gangster Squad."
Emma and her co-star, Sean Penn, look glamorous in the scene, as they exit their car and are swarmed by waiting members of the press. The film, set in the 1940s, stars Sean, as real life mobster Mickey Cohen, Emma and her "Crazy Stupid Love" co-star, Ryan Gosling.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ At Occupy Wall Street? How The Film Could Use Them

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ At Occupy Wall Street? How The Film Could Use Them:
They may be protesting the kind of accumulated wealth that makes Bruce Wayne able to buy all that superhero stuff, but the protestors at Occupy Wall Street may end up being part of the next Batman film.
Set to film in New York City starting on October 29th, producers on the Christopher Nolan-directed epic “The Dark Knight Rises” told the Los Angeles Times that the actors have been told to prepare to shoot scenes that could include the protests in Zuccotti Park. Warner Bros. wouldn’t confirm or deny, continuing on their tradition of secrecy and head fakes when it comes to their prized franchise, so it made us think: if it is true, just how could they use the protests in the film?
What first comes to mind is the jail breakout villain Bane, played by Tom Hardy, helps lead. Scenes from that explosion of criminals were shot in Pittsburgh and captured by paparazzi, and they look like pure mayhem. Perhaps those criminals could infiltrate the park and cause mayhem, or at least drag Batman through the crowd as he pursues the monstrous bad guy.
Bane also takes over a football stadium mid-game — video of which was put online — and perhaps he’ll do the same, trying to take advantage of the energy and anger of the people protesting the state of our union.
With Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing a cop, maybe he’ll be involved in monitoring the protests; or, perhaps Anne Hathaway, as Catwoman, could hide herself amongst the masked protesters. There’s also the possibility that those protesters will be asked to strike against Bruce Wayne, unaware of his secret heroism.

The criticisms are mostly happening on message boards, and fan blogs. Although the International Business Times did weigh in with an article entitled “Joke on Fans? ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Trailer Disappoints”:
The teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises does not live up to the hype… The trailer for the much-anticipated movie was an extreme letdown. It was short and revealed nothing about the plot.
Okay, so hopefully we can all agree that criticizing a teaser trailer for not giving away the movie’s plot is a bit silly.
But it’s true that Bane’s voice in the above clip does sound, as FilmDrunk puts it, “wacky.” It’s also true that Batman’s voice in both existing Nolan movies has sounded wackier than a dozen teenage stoners, and those films managed to be good. It’s also true that there’s this thing called ADR, where they can redub voices in post-production. (I’m reminded of the Matt Smith “You are the Daleks” scandal, where an audio snippet of Matt Smith shouting “I am the Doctor and you are the Daleks” in a very very silly voice came out during filming for “Victory of the Daleks” — and the internet was horrified. Luckily, when Smith actually says the line on screen in the episode, it sounds more or less normal.)
The Dark Knight Rises haterade has gotten so toxic, one of the fansites over at Comic Book Movie was forced to put out a call for people to “Cool It” with the criticism. Writes Jamedog:
I’ll admit it, I was underwhelmed when I saw the first pics of Catwoman. And yes, I wasn’t impressed by Bane’s voice either. This movie could very be Nolan’s first dud, hell, no man is perfect. I believed that Sam Raimi would give us a great third Spider-Man movie, and I believed that Bryan Singer would deliver a great Superman movie…
But Jamedog quite sensibly points out that the movie doesn’t come out for another year, and so far all we have seen officially are two photos and a teaser trailer — none of which give much away. And you can’t really judge much from set pics and fan-made videos where people talk about smoking holes.

Motorola Droid RAZR vs Samsung Galaxy Nexus Photo

Motorola Droid RAZR vs Samsung Galaxy Nexus Photo:
Samsung just announced its new Android device – the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Motorola, which hasn’t been having much luck with its new Android devices lately, decided to do a quick launch of its new flagship Android smartphone – the Motorola Droid RAZR – just before the official Samsung event.
Both the phones are quite impressive, and are among the top Android smartphones in existence today. Both of them will be gunning for the top spot, competing with the Apple iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy S 2, the current Android champion.
Hee’s a rough comparison between the two devices – Samsung Galaxy Nexus vs Motorola Droid RAZR.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will sport Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is supposed to unify Android on tablets and smartphones. The Motorola Droid RAZR, on the other hand, will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, for now.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Motorola Droid RAZR have a sleek profile, and are extremely slim. The Galaxy Nexus is only 8.9 mm thick and weighs 135 gms. The Droid RAZR is even slimmer, at just 7.1 mm, and is lighter at 127 gms.
Both the devices are quite stylish, and it’s a matter of individual preference. I like the designs of both phones.

The display is one of the best features of the Galaxy Nexus. It comes with a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the highest resolution seen in smartphones to date.

The Motorola Droid RAZR comes with a smaller 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display, with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. I would go with the Galaxy Nexus on this one.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus runs the latest version of Android – Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Motorola Droid RAZR will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread at launch, but is expected to get an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich eventually.
However, knowing Motorola’s update history, the ICS update isn’t going to be there for at least a couple of months.

The Galaxy Nexus clearly wins this round. One more advantage of the Galaxy Nexus is that it will get all future Android OS upgrades first. It also will run vanilla Android Ice Cream Sandwich, unblemished by customizations — the way Google intended it.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Motorola Droid RAZR come with similar hardware. They sport a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP dual core processor, and come with a PowerVR SGX 540 GPU. Both the phones offer 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. This round ends in a tie

Samsung Galaxy Nexus – 5 MP camera with autofocus and flash.
Motorola Droid RAZR – 8 MP camera with autofocus and flash.
The Droid RAZR has the better camera. I seriously don’t understand why Samsung would not ship the Galaxy Nexus with an 8 MP camera. This is the only feature where the Galaxy Nexus loses out against the iPhone 4S, the Galaxy S 2 and the Droid RAZR.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Motorola Droid RAZR are excellent devices, but I would go with the Galaxy Nexus any day.
    Here’s why:
    1. Better display

    2. Better OS

    3. Best chances of getting all future OS upgrades

    4. I prefer Samsung to Motorola

New Jersey Housewives Caroline And Dina Manzo No Longer Speak To Each Other

Real Housewives of New Jersey sisters Caroline and Dina Manzo are no longer on speaking terms with each other.
Dina was on the first two seasons of the show, but left after she had a falling out with another former housewife, Danielle Staub.
During this season’s reunion show, Caroline admitted that she and Dina don’t speak to each other and it’s all because of Teresa Giudice (of course).
Dina is apparently Team Teresa, which helped to break down the strong sisterly bond between them. Caroline said on the show:

Sisters and former Real Housewives of New Jersey costars Caroline and Dina Manzo are no longer speaking — and they have Teresa Giudice to thank.
On Sundays’s reunion show, all eyes will indeed be on Giudice, 39, who has officially been iced out by her costars, one-time pal Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, Giudice’s cousin, Kathy Wakile and sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga.
“Teresa is a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” Manzo, 50, tells Us Weekly of Giudice, who slammed her former friend in her Fabulicious! cookbook, calling her “as Italian as the Olive Garden,” and insulting her son, Christopher.

After spending much of Housewives’ season 3 attempting to mend Giudice’s longtime rift with her sister-in-law, Manzo realized Giudice had no intention of making nice. “It was all a charade,” Manzo tells Us. “And we were all pawns in her horrible game.”
As a result, Manzo says she behaved badly toward the Gorga family, without getting to know them first. When she got to know them and become friendly, Giudice flipped. “[A friendship] was not what Teresa wanted,” she tells Us. “I welcomed the bad guys, so I became the bad guy.”
“When it served her purpose, she was my friend,” Manzo reasons of Giudice on Sunday’s reunion.
And Giudice’s behavior hasn’t just affected Manzo’s relationship with the Gorgas. On part one of the reunion, she reveals that her bond with her sister Dina, a Giudice ally, has officially broken down and that the pair no longer speak.
