Lady Gaga recruits Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills for video G.U.Y.

The 27-year-old singer roped in socialites including Kyle Richards, Yolanda Foster, Lisa Vanderpump and Kim Richards to shoot 'G.U.Y.' at Hearst Castle in California but despite her unusual guest stars, a behind-the-scenes clip from the video shows all of her usual weird and wonderful touches have remained.
The clip - shown on the Today show on Friday - gave the first glimpse of the reality TV stars but also features Gaga in a series of revealing bodysuits including a slashed gold leotard and a cleavage revealing black number.

And in her scenes with the famous-for-being-famous Real Housewives, who bizarrely are all seen playing musical instruments while dressed in matching pink suits, Gaga is decked out in a splendid white headdress and bodysuit.
She also said on Today that she 'cracks the whip' on set to get things done.
Gaga explained: 'You have to [crack the whip] to keep the pace going. We had our work cut out for us with this video. It was a very big production.
'We shot for six days and it was just such a pleasure working with the whole team. We had a great time.

Taylor Kinney Calls Girlfriend Lady Gaga ‘Kindred Spirit,’ Says He’s ‘Proud of Her’

Taylor Kinney reveals he and Lady Gaga like to spend their time hiking and painting in a new interview with Glamour.

There’s just one tiny issue… with the pop star’s wardrobe.

“I’m always giving her flak, like, ‘Babe, you can’t wear your heels when we’re hiking,’” Kinney tells the magazine.

And while the actor won’t share what he and Gaga like to paint, he does say, “There’s a lot of laughing.

“I think that’s the basis of a healthy relationship,” says the “Chicago Fire” star. “We laugh a lot.”

Kinney goes on, “I think we just complement each other. I’m proud of her, and I’d like to believe she’s proud of me. We’re kindred spirits.”

Last year, Gaga said she’s “found love” with Kinney, saying they “complement each other’s weirdness.”

Lady Gaga Begins The Soon-To-Close Roseland Ballroom's Final Shows

Lady Gaga celebrated her 28th birthday with an energetic but short concert at the Roseland Ballroom in her first of seven concerts at the closing venue.

Gaga performed for an hour Friday night in front of a feverish crowd. She started with a slow version of "Born This Way" on piano, with the audience joining in. She followed that with the jams "Monster" and "Bad Romance." She danced and sang on the side of the stage in a red tight leotard.

"Thank you so much for spending my birthday with me," she yelled to the audience, which included her actor-boyfriend Taylor Kinney and Nate Ruess, lead singer for the band Fun.

Gaga was in top form as she sang nearly a dozen of her songs, including "Just Dance," an acoustic version of "Poker Face," and the recent hit "Applause." The concert's main surprise: It was too short. After she ended, fans waited for the pop star to hit the stage again. She never did.

She performed some tracks from her recent album, "ARTPOP," which has struggled to match the success of her other releases. But onstage, she showed no signs of slowing down.
Gaga closed with the new single, "G.U.Y.," now wearing an all-white ensemble (her sixth costume change for the night).

"Thanks for making this the best birthday ever," she said.

The New York-born singer will perform six more shows at the Roseland Ballroom, helping close the famed venue that opened eight decades ago. Performers in the past have included The Rolling Stones, Madonna and Beyonce, who famously performed four shows in 2011 when she was pregnant.

"How many New Yorkers are in here tonight?" Gaga asked early in the show. "Do you believe in love? Do you?"

The Grammy winner kept the concert tame compared to her showcase at the South by Southwest festival this month, which featured a performance artist vomiting paint on her. She thanked her fans a number of times in between songs.

"When I woke up this morning I was so happy," she said. "I couldn't wait to get here tonight. I have so many friends here ... so many fans I've grown up with for six whole years, seven whole years."

The Rise And Fall Of Lady Gaga photo

About five years ago, Lady Gaga burst into mega fame with the force of a shooting star (that insisted on wearing raw meat to red carpet events). But with her latest performance largely spotlighting vomit as performance art, it's all too easy to forget the moment when Gaga first rose into public consciousness, accessorized by Muppets and often compared to Madonna.

So, what happened? In just about five years, Gaga reached an unprecedented echelon of pop stardom, only to lose her mystery to such an extent that puke-for-attention seems almost standard. (She was puked on, it should be noted, by vomit painter Millie Brown.) In hopes of mapping the trajectory from fledgling stardom to bile desperation, we've tracked the rise and fall of Gaga's monstrous brand of celebrity.

Feb. 20, 2007 - Appearing in public for perhaps the last time as the human who once resembled Stefani Germanotta, Gaga attends the "Who's Next? Writers on the Rise" event in New York City.

May 19, 2008 - Gaga introduces her eclectic sartorial choices to the world at the NewNowNext Award, walking the carpet as a pirate from a future in which there is no cure for glaucoma.
Aug. 19, 2008 - Gaga releases "The Fame" and it eventually goes platinum, selling over 10 million digital singles and quickly making her what Rolling Stone would later call "the defining pop star of 2009." The Top-40 quickly becomes 20 percent just Gaga.

Jan. 20, 2009 - In an interview with The Guardian, Lady Gaga tells Laura Barton that she has "felt famous [her] whole life." Her confidence in place of feigned surprise over her success is refreshing.

May 11, 2009 - During a spot on "Ellen," Gaga begins her foray into absurd hats with "The Orbit," succeeds in confounding both Ellen and America.

Sept. 13, 2009 - One of Gaga's five generally outrageous outfits at the VMAs includes a red lace bridal headdress that is basically what would have happened if Carrie ever got married.

Demi Lovato Calls Out Lady Gaga's SXSW Performance As 'Glamorizing' Eating Disorders

Following Lady Gaga's interesting, and debatably disturbing, SXSW performance, Demi Lovato took to Twitter to criticize the bit involving performance artist Millie Brown.

Lovato's struggles with eating disorders and addiction are well-known, and so she was quick to point out that Brown forcing herself to vomit all over Gaga was unacceptable. She stated that Gaga was glamorizing eating disorders and that the performance wasn't "cool" in any way whatsoever.
"Putting the word ART in it isn't a free card to do whatever you want without consequences," she tweeted.

Despite some passioned reactions from upset Gaga fans, Lovato continued to warn of the negative ways pop culture can impact others, especially someone with as much clout as Gaga.

However, in the end, Lovato reminded everyone that was still a Little Monster at heart. Read her tweets below.

Ariana Grande's 2013 American Music Awards Performance Earns Her Standing Ovation From Lady Gaga

Ariana Grande's performance of "Tattooed Heart" at the 2013 American Music Awards on Sunday night managed to shock the likes of Lady Gaga, who gave the young songstress a standing ovation.

Grande performed the single off her album, "Yours Truly," leading with an a cappella rendition of "Baby I," on the AMAs stage at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Nov. 24. She sang her heart out in a performance MTV News has compared to the Motown vibe of Gladys Knight and the Pips, in front of an audience packed with music greats like Gaga, Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift.

The 20-year-old was one of the most talked about acts of the night, E! News noted, and the performance earned her applause from the "Do What U Want" signer, as well as Ciara.

She also took home the New Artist of the Year Award.

"Oh my God! I'm so nervous," she said when she took to the stage to accept the honor. "Thank you so much. This is for my fans. I have the most loving and supportive fans in the world, and I love them so much. I'm so nervous ... This is crazy. I love you. Thank you."

Ariana Grande nearly brought the house down at the 2013 American Music Awards!

The young starlet performed an almost acoustic version of her single off of Yours Truly called "Tattooed Heart."

Armed with just a mic and slinky red sequined gown, Grande channeled Motown in what quickly became the most talked about AMAs moment.

Grande's powerhouse voice even wowed Lady Gaga and Ciara, who both applauded the singer and gave a standing ovation.

And that wasn't the only highlight of the 20-year-old's evening.

Madonna Tops Forbes' World's Highest Paid Musicians 2013 List

Don't be. According to Forbes' latest roundup, Madonna made a whopping $125 million in 2013.

"The bulk of Madge’s millions this year come from the tail end of her MDNA Tour, which grossed $305 million," explains Forbes. Add to that heavy "merchandise sales at concerts as well as her Material Girl clothing line and Truth or Dare fragrance," and you've got a clear winner.

Her runner-up, Lady Gaga, trails behind with a "mere" $80 million. The tour she cut short due to her injury, explains Forbes, still grossed $168 million.

Bon Jovi lands in third place with a close $79 million. "All in all, the group earned more than Kanye West, Skrillex and Carrie Underwood," Forbes noted, in what might make little sense to anyone born after 1990.

Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Beyonce and more make respectable cameos on Forbes' Highest Paid Musicians 2013 list. To find out exactly how much each songbird raked, head over to Forbes.com.

Katy Perry On Supposed Lady Gaga Rivalry: 'You Can't Look At It Like A Competition'

Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have been pitted against each other as pop rivals for the better part of the year. As dueling singles, albums, music videos and press opportunities have found critics and fans questioning which singer is the reigning princess of pop, Perry is speaking out to quash the rivalry image that exists between the two.

“Gaga and I like to publicly dismiss it because it’s not healthy," Perry told Entertainment Weekly. "You want to feel music. You want it to resonate and relate to you. You can’t look at it like a competition because you ruin the reason why you love music. But I think that sometimes our fan groups are so big and strong, they use it as ammunition.”

That "ammunition" first kicked into high gear when Gaga's "Applause" and Perry's "Roar" -- the lead singles from their respective albums, which arrive just a few weeks apart from each other -- leaked at the same time. Since then, it's been a tit-for-tat between the singers' fans. It's a bit easier for Perry to denounce any form of a "competition," as forecasts for the sales of the two singles indicated that Perry would come out on top by a wide margin. Indeed, "Roar" sold 557,000 digital copies, while "Applause" saw 218,000 downloads.

In a year that's seen Joan Rivers, Sinead O'Connor, Cher and others speak out against Miley Cyrus' pop-culture reign, the conversation about fostering female rivalries in the media has escalated.

"I just think it's very unfair of anyone to pit another woman against another woman, especially in the space of music, when we're all just trying to be taken seriously at all as females," Gaga told Andy Cohen in September during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live."

Now, as Gaga's "ARTPOP" makes its long-awaited debut on Nov. 11, the album will inevitably face comparisons with Perry's "Prism," which came out Oct. 18. "Prism" debuted at No. 1 with 286,000 copies sold. The next needless contest between the two women will center on which of them can produce the more impressive first-week sales. Perry topped Cyrus as the highest-selling debut of the year by a female artist. Can Gaga now top Perry? It's all in the "competition."

Lady Gaga Wears Crown, No Pants for Her Birthday

Lady Gaga may have told Oprah Winfrey that she didn't "intend to speak to anyone for a very long time," but she's certainly commanding attention in other ways. Her latest "look at me" moment occurred on Wednesday (her 26th birthday) — a mere 10 days after her comment to Winfrey — when the pop star stepped out in West Hollywood in a rhinestone-covered crown, studded motorcycle jacket … and no pants. Instead, Gaga, who also carried around a little dog in a white T-shirt, opted for a pair of black sheer tights over her brief-style panties. She even posted a photo of her kooky getup on Twitter, with a message to her more than 21 million followers: "I can be, the Queen that's inside of me. You guys are the best."

Whatever Gaga does, her Little Monsters revel in it. Although wearing a crown could be considered a bit vain (even for a celebrity), countless fans re-tweeted her photo, and even more left her loving comments telling their Mother Monster how beautiful she was and wishing her the happiest of birthdays. "Thank you for being in my life!," wrote one named @JemmaLovesGaga. "Your so special to me. I love you so much happy birthday my queen!" Other Little Monsters tweeted original videos they made in honor of her big day. The "Born This Way" singer even tweeted one in particular that caught her eye. "This is so sweet!" she added to the post. "The best birthday present ever. I love little monsters so much. Thank you so being in my life!"

Ever since Gaga's March 18 interview with Winfrey, during which she revealed she was going to purposely retreat out of the public eye, she's really done anything but. Although she hasn't been constantly out and about, she has made her presence known via her Twitter account, where she tweets out messages and photos of herself practically every day. Three hours before her March 28 birthday, Gaga uploaded a pic of a slice of her birthday cake, albeit smashed — and placed right next to a pricey Chanel purse. On Tuesday, she posted a photo of herself sans makeup, which of course made the rounds on nearly every entertainment website since it's such a rare occurrence to see the singer without her usual face paint. Other tweets have focused on her exercise routines (yoga and cycling), jokes about her gay friends, and a plug to buy her ex-boyfriend

Too many takeaways, boys? JLS keep covered up in new video, as topless Aston Merrygold is the only one to whip his shirt off and flaunt his washboard stomach

Marvin, JB and Oritsé may have indulged in one too many takeaways recently, as Aston Merrygold is the only member of the band to bare his torso in the new JLS video.
But while the remaining X Factor trio keep their shirts well and truly glued to their abs, there is plenty of flesh on display from the ladies in upcoming single She Makes Me Wanna.
As the boys took to Twitter this morning to promote the song, the quartet hinted their diets are not as strict as their choreographer might want them to be.
Last night they wrote: 'A kebab at the end of the night it may have to be #Wowsh. Oritsé x'
It was followed by a message this morning, saying: 'Bacon butties in the mornin for everyone!! Haha was a good night out! Ollie stepped UP! Oritsé x
Frolicking in the Miami sunshine, the Beat Again stars kick off proceedings by dancing on a beach surrounded by an army of bikini admirers.
It takes just 17 seconds into the footage before the serial backflipper is topless and flexing his impressive physique.
The song then launches into a big beach party, with girls squirting water pistols and flirting with various male models by sitting on their shoulders in the sea.
A spokesperson exclusively told the Daily Mail: 'The video shoot nearly had to be shut down as hundreds of American fans stormed the beach to try and reach JLS.'

Lady Gaga's Meat Bikini: Tasteful Or Tasteless?

We thought we'd seen everything in terms of Lady Gaga's outfits--she's worn telephones as hats, cigarettes as sunglasses, PVC to meet the Queen, decorated her Birkin Bag...well, we could go on forever. But her latest outfit for Vogue Hommes Japan takes the cake. Gaga dons a bikini and a tiny beret made from raw steaks and her lips and nails are painted red. Take a look and tell us what you think.

Late on Friday, New York became the sixth (and most populous) state in the nation to pass a law allowing gay marriage, and in celebration, stars joined supporters of the measure to cheer the historic milestone on Twitter.

Pink gave an all-caps jump for joy, shouting, "CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! ABOUT TIME!"

Harris tweeted, "It PASSED! Marriage equality in NY!! Yes!! Progress!! Thank you everyone who worked so hard on this!! A historic night!" His elated partner, David Burtka, announced, "I've already proposed, he said yes! Thank god!" (He soon added a clarification: "Neil and I have been wearing rings for years. We have been engaged for a while. It did not just happen.")

Russell Simmons, who gave counsel to Tracy Morgan during the comic's recent homophobia controversy, logged on to tweet, "I applaud the work of our state gov't and all of the advocates on tonight's vote to legalize same sex marriage." He added, "The rights u take for granted are only valid if u fight to give those same rights to others."

Lady Gaga said, "I can't stop crying. We did it kids."

Back to blonde for Lady Gaga as she ditches the green wig at charity concert in Japan

She's worn all different colours and shades in her hair since hitting the big time, but Lady Gaga knows deep down that blondes definitely have more fun.
Having sported an aquamarine wig for the past few weeks, the singer decided to go back to her trademark platinum blonde look.
The Born This Way singer came on stage at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan at the Makuhari Messe Arena near Tokyo tonight.

The pop superstar emerged from a cocoon during her performance at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada this weekend, a stunt she has pulled twice already.
Gaga, 25, was at the event to perform some of her recent hits, including Edge Of Glory, and to pick up two awards.

She entered the stage via the egg-like cocoon, just as she did at the Grammy Awards in February this year - she also popped out of a chamber during a performance on Saturday Night Live late last month.
This time however the contraption was suspended above the ground, whereas the previous two crysalis-esque devices were laid down horizontally on the ground.
For the duration of her appearance on the Canadian awards show, Gaga remained relatively covered up in comparison to her usual outrageous get up.

By Lady Gaga standards, her ensembles were positively demure.
In fact the Queen of shocktastic fashion and barely-there outfits turned out to the ceremony with much more material per square inch than usual.
Despite changing into an array of outfits, the 25-year-old singer kept relatively covered up - which was perhaps something to do with the slightly fuller figure she was seen to be sporting as she arrived.

The Edge of Glory star, who won two awards at the event, turned up at the ceremony in Toronto, Canada, in a form-fitting little black dress which showed a more curvy shape around her midsection.
Last year Gaga's former tour manager, David Ciemny, claimed that the star would starve herself to fit into her revealing stage outfits.
He alleged the singer would go on unhealthy food binges before barely eating in a bid to slim down - saying she once lost 20lbs between fittings.

Earlier this month, Gaga left very little to the imagination as she partied at the CFDA Fashion Awards in a see-through black body stocking in New York.
But tonight was a relatively low-key affair for Gaga, who remained relatively covered in her series of outfits.
