  • Catarina Migliorini Nekkid With a Teddy Bear And Nothing Like a Virgin in the Brazilian Bunny

Wow, it seems like just yesterday (or 2012) that Brazilian virgin Catarina Migliorini was selling her ne'er touched lady plum to the highest bidder who apparently paid $750K+ to go where no man has gone before.

It all seems kind of nonsensical, that is until you see Catarina and her teddy bear in Playboy Brazil, where the supposedly no longer pure young hottie does all sorts of preening, prancing, and downright romancing her stuffed buddy in a series of sights we can only describe as unforgettable. Just epic, downright epic. Enjoy.

Brooklyn Resident Wins Miss America Crown

A 23-year-old blonde from Brooklyn, N.Y., won the Miss America crown Saturday night after deftly dealing with a question about armed guards in schools and raising the issue of child sexual abuse in her contestant platform.

En route to her victory in the Las Vegas pageant, Mallory Hagan also tap danced to James Brown's "Get Up Off of That Thing," strutted down the runway in an asymmetrical white gown, and donned a revealing black string bikini.

She defeated Miss South Carolina Ali Rogers, who took second, and Miss Oklahoma Alicia Clifton, who finished third.

Hagan wins a $50,000 college scholarship and a year as an instant celebrity and role model to many girls. Her platform, the issue she will promote during her reign, is fighting child sexual abuse.

She told The Associated Press in an interview after her win that it was her mother who encouraged her to tackle the issue. She said that sexual abuse had "rippled through" her family, touching her mother, aunt, grandmother and cousins. Her mother had trouble at first convincing others of the trauma she had faced.

"That kind of sent her into a whirlwind of anxiety and depression. So as a teen I lost my mom kind of for a couple years," she said. "She was dealing with her own issues, and that's something that now as an adult I understand, but then I certainly did not."

During an interview backstage, Hagan's mother Mandy Moore wiped tears away as she spoke.

"It's very overwhelming," she said. "It's all hitting me so fast."

Hagan said she will work to make child abuse education mandatory in all 50 states.

"It's something I can hopefully change for the next generation," she said.

Hagan left her native Alabama for New York at 18 with less than $1,000 in her pocket. She began competing in pageants when she was 13 and tried for Miss New York in 2010 and 2011 before winning last year.

She studied communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology and has been living in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Hagan, who aspires to be a global cosmetic company executive, ends a long dry spell for New York in the competition. The previous winner from that state was actress Vanessa Williams, who became the first black winner when she took the crown in 1984. Hagan is the first Brooklyn-dweller to claim the title.

She was good enough during preliminary contests for the 92nd annual Miss America pageant to be chosen as one of 16 semifinalists who moved on to compete in the main show. Her bid lasted through swimsuit, evening wear, and talent competitions that saw cuts after each round.

In the final moments of the show, "Good Morning America" weatherman Sam Champion asked her if schools should hire armed guards in the wake of the Newtown, Conn. shooting.

"I don't think the proper was to fight violence is with violence," she replied. "I think the proper way is to educate people on guns and the ways we can use them properly. We can lock them up, we can have gun safety classes, we can have a longer waiting period."

Hagan defeated titleholders from all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Several of her competitors had grabbed headlines this year because of their backstories.

Delilah Talks Brit Awards 2013 'They Are The Most Important British Music Awards'

British singer-songwriter Delilah is hotly tipped to make waves at this year's Brit Awards, after the release of her debut album and a support slot with Prince in Australia in 2012.

Ahead of the 2013 nominations announcement on Thursday, we asked for her Brits predictions and found out what's in store for the rising star this year...

Who do you hope will be nominated for a Brit Award?

Emeli Sande will be up for Best Female and maybe Florence Welch as well. Best Album maybe Lianne La Havas, for Best Single I think Calvin Harris will be in there somewhere and One Direction as well.

What do you think of your own chances? What would it mean to you?

I haven't really thought about it. I would like to be nominated so we'll see. I'm not nervous, I'll be disappointed but there is always next year.

How important are the Brits these days? Does being nominated make a real difference?

I think they are the most important British music awards. They are much more commercial and have the power to really elevate an artist. The Mercurys are more critically acclaimed... but I think the Brits really highlight your accomplishments to the public.

     Delilah Talks Brit Awards 2013
    What's your favourite Brits performance?

I loved Adele's performance of 'Someone Like You'. I really liked Rihanna's performance with all the paint. Every year there are amazing artists.

Do you think we'll see anything controversial this year?

I'm not sure, I think there will always be a great production. I'd like to see an artist do a stripped back performance this year as well as all the lights.

How would you describe your music to those that haven't heard it?

I would say its dark, melodic, soulful pop.

Have you got a favourite music video of all time? And what video would you like to remake?

'Bad' by Michael Jackson would be funny with my friends, if we did a comedic version.

Do you ever crack up when you are doing your emotional and serious videos?

You always have some laughing. I've done some quite risque videos, which have been edited really well so they are never too provocative. But I rolled around for 12 hours with a very good looking man. I met him the day before and I had to pretend he was my lover, it required a lot of acting even though he was gorgeous. It was a lot of fun. I'm proud of a lot of my videos. We kept in touch for a bit, we're good friends he's an amazing dancer, he does Stomp.

You supported Prince on his tour - what advice, if any, has he given you about the music industry?

He didn't give me any advice. We just hang out and became good friends. There was no "this is how you do it" he was just a fan. He was really normal, obviously he has his eccentricities but he was really hospitable and kind.

What do you hope to achieve in 2013?

My new album is released this year, lots of singles and some more great videos. I want to do some really challenging videos and a top five or three, or even number one, would be amazing. Just keep pushing to be bigger and better I think.

The music is definitely still very me, it's dark which is my real signature but I've grown a lot in the last four years and most of my old songs were written between 14 and 17 so since then a lot has changed in my life.

Delilah has teamed up with Mastercard to offer one fan the chance to remake of one of her videos. Fans will get to shoot it, sing it and be their favourite artist for the day, as well as meeting their idols at The BRIT Awards on the 20th of February. Competition details can be found here.

NUS' Kelley Temple On The Struggle To Educate Misogynistic Students

"If men can't grope women in clubs, they're more likely to progress onto rape," Kelley Temple, the women's officer for students was once told - and that's just a snapshot of the battle she's facing against misogyny on campuses.

"Universities simply don't take sexism seriously enough," she tells The Huffington Post UK. "The problem is no-one really understands. Sometimes there is an attempt to tackle the symptom of the problem. Very rarely is there an attempt to tackle it from the root.

"Part of it comes from not really understanding the situation." Temple says this is the reason the NUS has commissioned Sussex University to conduct research into misogyny on campus and "lad cultures", which will be published in March. "We need to understand what the problems look like and decide how to tackle them," she continues.

"Women's officers spend a lot of time in their positions essentially battling the symptoms of lad culture and continuously having to tackle the issue of lad's mags objectifying women or sexist adverts in student unions. They spend so much time trying to tackle them but the same problems keep coming up.

"It's very difficult to make people understand the harm that this culture is creating."

One in seven female students have experienced a serious physical or sexual assault during their time at university, according to the NUS' Hidden Marks report, which was published in 2012. Kelley says there are problems embedded in a misogynistic culture which are simply laughed off as "banter", meaning sexual assault on women is not treated seriously enough.

"In the past, sexism was in a very overt way, quite acceptable and normalised. Because of the success of a lot of feminists, it's become a lot acceptable to become openly sexist. But it hasn't disappeared, it hasn't gone away, it just manifests itself so it becomes a lot more covert and it exists under different guises and forms.

"One of those forms is "banter". What that is, when you try and apply humour you can say 'Oh but it's just ironic, I don't really mean this'."

Kelley uses the infamous quote from self-proclaimed "lad magazine" Uni Lad, which joked:

John Wilkinson Dead Rhythm Guitarist For Elvis Presley Dies At 67

Rhythm guitar player John Wilkinson, who performed with Elvis Presley more than a thousand times, has died at his home in southwest Missouri. He was 67.

Wilkinson passed away Friday at his home in Springfield after a fight with cancer, according to a family spokesman and the Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley offered their "deepest sympathy" to his family, saying in a statement that "John and the beautiful music he made with Elvis will live forever in our hearts."

Wilkinson first met Elvis Presley when he was 10 years old after sneaking into his dressing room before a show at the Shrine Mosque in Springfield. He amused Presley when he told him, "You can't play guitar worth a damn."

Family friend and spokesman Gary Ellison said a Springfield history museum recalled the pair's meeting in an exhibit that ran until about three weeks ago.

"John loved to tell that story," Ellison, a fellow musician, said Friday.

After the chance meeting, Wilkinson developed a name for himself as a singer and guitarist, performing with such groups as The New Christy Minstrels.

He was 23 when Presley saw him perform on a television show in Los Angeles in 1968, and asked him to join the TCB Band – not knowing he was the youngster who insulted his playing a decade earlier, Ellison recalled.

Wilkinson went on to play 1,200 shows as Presley's rhythm guitar player until the legendary singer's death in 1977.

"John considered Elvis more as a friend than as a boss," Ellison said.

Even after suffering a stroke in 1989 that left him unable to play the guitar, Wilkinson continued singing with fellow musicians, including the old TCB Band (the acronym stood for Taking Care of Business), and also made a living in retail and airline services management.

"He was honestly one of the best acoustic guitar players I'd ever heard," Ellison recalled, adding that Wilkinson kept in touch with many of the performers from the folk music era in the late 1960s and early `70s.

A statement from the family, released through Ellison, said Wilkinson also was proud of the fact that he never turned down a request for an autograph.

"It didn't matter if he was meeting adoring fans, joking with Chuck Berry about keeping his B-string in tune, or if he was talking to a neighbor about her dog, people were people to him," the statement said.

Sofia Vergara’s Emmy Wardrobe Malfunction Reveals Just How Amazing Her Butt Really Is

She may have been one of the hottest stars on the red carpet in her stunning Zuhair Murad aquamarine gown at the Emmys 2012, but no one would have guessed that Sofia Vergara experienced a disastrous wardrobe malfunction just before stepping onto the red carpet.

The 40-year-old sexy Modern Family actress suffered a terrible fashion faux pas just 20 minutes before hitting the bash where her hit TV show triumphed, sharing snaps of her mishap on Twitter of a broken back zip.

Renowned for her famous hour-glass figure and killer curves, Sofia's derriere proved too voluptuous for its own good as the high end designer dress failed to contain it.

The actress tweeted a snap of the hilarious wardrobe malfunction with the caption: ''Yes!!!! This happend 20 min before we won!!!! Jajajajja. I luv my life!!!!''

Sofia, in high spirits, later thanked her wardrobe team for helping her through the traumatising slip up before she headed onto the stage to pick up the gong for Outstanding Comedy for her show Modern Family, for the third consecutive year.

She wrote: ''20 min Modern Family won!! Dress malfuncion !!! Thank you emergency team!!''

But even if Sofia had collected her award with the Tom Kitten style rip in her dress, she would have still been the sexiest red carpet goer at the bash in the feminine number that did wonders for her figure.

Sofia Vergara's famous curves proved too much for her designer gown last night - after her dress split open, right over her derriere.

The Modern Family star suffered a wardrobe malfunction just 20 minutes before her hit TV show won a prestigious gong at the Emmy Awards.

The 40-year-old actress shared pictures of her fashion mishap on her Twitter page, showing the busted back zip of her Zuhair Murad teal cut-out gown.

Sofia Vergara Talks Golden Globes Wardrobe Malfunction Possibility

Between her many nominations and choices of glamorous dresses, awards season is an exciting time time for "Modern Family" actress Sofia Vergara.

But Vergara, who has now scored three Golden Globe and three Emmy nods for her portrayal of Colombian-born bombshell Gloria on "Modern Family," doesn't have the best track record when it comes to keeping her curve-hugging gowns intact.

Two days before the 2013 Golden Globes, Vergara spoke with HuffPost TV via phone to discuss what she would do to prevent another slip.

"I always try, but some things happen that you cannot control," she said. "You know, it's a lot of a drama. You get in and out of cars and run because you're late backstage, and you have to try to go to the bathroom with those dresses. It's hard! They get a lot of wear and tear. It's a big possibility that things happen."

Just moments before "Modern Family" nabbed the award for Best Comedy at the 2012 Emmys, Vergara's teal Zuhair Murad split down the rear.

Kardashian Khroma Beauty Line Draws $10 Million Lawsuit

Uh-oh! This can't be good for Kim Kardashian's mental health as the mommy-to-be is busy house-hunting and shopping for shoes with beau Kanye West.

After facing trademark infringement allegations last year for their Khroma Beauty line, the Kardashian sisters have been hit with hefty lawsuit. Celebrity makeup artist Lee Tillett is seeking $10 million in damages from the fashionable trio and Boldface Licensing + Branding, the company that owns Khroma Beauty's license, for allegedly swiping the name of her cosmetics line and adding an "h."

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Tillett, who launched Kroma Makeup in 2004, filed the suit this Wednesday in a Los Angeles federal court. She had previously filed a cease and desist letter back in June to Boldface Licensing + Branding, taking action one step further than Chroma Makeup.

"I developed the Kroma line myself, built my business through my own hard work, and took the legal steps necessary to protect it," Tillett said in a press statement. "And yet I have now been forced into legal battle with the Kardashians simply because they have decided to take something that doesn't belong to them."

While Boldface had told The Huffington Post last October that they too had gone through the necessary legal steps to secure their name, Tillett is preparing to protect her brand's name and money at all costs.

What do you think of the latest development in the Khroma Beauty legal battle? Do you think the Kardashians should pay up? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section.

Lindsay Lohan On New York Times Article I Did Not Drink And Drive

If you've read the recent New York Times Magazine profile of Lindsay Lohan, you may have wondered how the actress feels about the piece. Well, wonder no more, because, according to sources, she's fine with it.

Despite what many would say is a brutally honest portrait of Lohan's troubled career, sources tell TMZ that the "Mean Girls" actress acknowledges that the details in the story are true. Those close to Lohan say she admits to having been late to the set of "The Canyons," nervous to get undressed and argumentative with producers. The one thing sources say she adamantly rejects, however, is the portion in which she reportedly drinks and drives.

Lohan says most of what the story describes is standard practice in Hollywood, but she insists the drinking-and-driving portion is malarkey. Lohan claims she did not drink on set and then drive a car afterward, one of the article's several instances of Lohan wreaking havoc while shooting the movie. TMZ reports that friends of Lohan said the actress feels she is more responsible than that.

Lohan reportedly is not mad about the story, which chronicles the filming of the salacious Bret Easton Ellis-penned movie as it revolves around Lohan's notorious troubles. She says she's already been approached by "Canyons" director Paul Schrader to star in another of his movies.

2013 Critics' Choice Awards Skin Is In!

The ladies at Thursday's Critics' Choice Awards definitely took a page from Taylor Swift's book, hitting the red carpet in gowns with plunging necklines and exposed cleavage.

"Silver Linings Playbook" star Jennifer Lawrence looked her best in a black gown with strategic cutout. "Zero Dark Thirty's" Jessica Chastain looked radiant in red, while Jaime King turned heads in black.

Even Sally Field dared to go with a plunging neckline, proving sixty-something are still sexy!

The red carpet was also the public debut of one couple we never expected to see together: MMA fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano and "Man of Steel" Henry Cavill.

Beyoncé Can’t Even Comprehend Her Power Photo

Beyoncé graced the latest edition of GQ. You can read the two page profile here and learn about all the crazy stuff she believes in. Like the empowerment of women. Just kidding. Anyway, she goes into detail about the existence of a digital archive of her entire life. Whatever she wants, be it an interview, a performance or what she had for dinner on Tuesday, she can pull up with the click of a button. It’s actually pretty amazing.

The high point of the article comes at the end with a quote from Beyoncé about the power she wields. ”I now know that, yes, I am powerful,” she says. “I’m more powerful than my mind can even digest and understand.”

After she said that, the clouds parted, transcendent music played and a ray of light enveloped her as she sprouted angel wings and ascended into heaven. Actually, it was just Jay-Z shining a flashlight above her while her assistant played the harp and attached costume angel wings to her. This interview is over!

Hannity foresees states leaving union if federal government continues ‘radicalized, abusive’ pattern

On his Friday radio show, conservative talker and Fox News host Sean Hannity warned that the United States may fall apart if tax rates remain high.

“The states are now fighting and battling against their own federal government,” Hannity said. ”Same thing with individuals. If you live in a state like New York, New Jersey, California [or] one of these high-tax states [where] 60-plus cents of every dollar goes to taxes, you’ll say, ‘What the hell am I doing this for?’”

“A lot of people have told me that,” Hannity continued. “A lot of people are moving. … I noticed that Bobby Jindal moved to remove his state income tax. He’s not stupid. You know what’s going to happen in Louisiana? The same thing that is happening in Texas and Florida — their populations are soaring. They’re doing a lot better. State governments are fine. They’re surviving. They don’t have the property taxes they do in New York, which is obscene. In New York, you just pay and pay and pay and pay.”

States with lower taxes may soon decide they want to stop shouldering the burden of states with higher taxes, Hannity warned.

“People that are fed up with a power hungry, radicalized, abusive federal government intruding into every aspect of our lives,” Hannity continued. “People are going to say they’re fed up, and states are going to want more liberty and more freedom. They’re not going to want to tax their citizens to death anymore. If this pattern continues and gets worse and worse and worse, I can see at some point the states saying, ‘Forget it. I don’t want to be a part of this union anymore.’”

Hannity rejected the idea that secession is necessarily a “radical concept,” arguing that the Declaration of Independence is itself a “radical document.”

“There is a tipping point in all of these debates,” he said. “Now, politically speaking, that means people are going to be thrown out of office, I hope. But if not, there are going to be people in more conservative states that have had enough. I can see a state like Utah saying, ‘Enough is enough,’ [and] a state like Texas saying, ‘Enough is enough.’ I absolutely can.”

“A lot of people [are] getting sick” of President Barack Obama’s executive orders on matters like immigration policy, Hannity added.

Evan Rachel Wood Pregnant: Actress Expecting Baby With Jamie Bell

Evan Rachel Wood is pregnant! Us Weekly reports that the "True Blood" actress, 25, is expecting her first child with British actor Jamie Bell, 26. Bell most notably appeared as the titular character in the 2000 film "Billy Elliot."

"Evan Rachel Wood and husband Jamie Bell confirmed they are expecting their first child later this year. The couple is thrilled," a rep for the actress told the publication.

Wood and Bell married on Oct. 30, 2011 in an intimate ceremony with friends and family in California. Shortly thereafter, Wood denied rumors that she was pregnant, going so far as to tweet in November: "Sorry to disappoint! But no baby on the way here."

On Friday, Wood recognized the irony of that statement on the social network, writing: "Remember when i said, 'No baby on the way here' Well I didn't know there actually was!"

The soon-to-be parents met in 2005 while shooting a music video for Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends." Wood was previously engaged to singer Marilyn Manson, whom she dated from 2006 to 2010.

Kate Middleton: Official Portrait By Paul Emsley Of The Duchess Of Cambridge Revealed

The Duchess of Cambridge's first official portrait was has been unveiled - and was described by Kate as "amazing".

Award-winning artist Paul Emsley created the large head and shoulders painting of the duchess set against his trademark dark background.

Kate's painting was commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery and, following her suggestion, depicts her natural, not official, persona.

The official portrait of the Duchess of Cambridge, by Paul Emsley

The Duchess, who wore a burgundy dress by Whistles, was joined by her husband the Duke for a private viewing of the painting this morning before it goes on display to the public this afternoon.

The royal couple spent around 10 minutes looking at the portrait privately then met Emsley and his wife Susanne and daughter Marie.

Kate has been suffering from a rare form of pregnancy sickness but looked well and smiled as she chatted to the artist.

She told him: "It's just amazing, I thought it was brilliant."

William also had high praise for the painting, saying: "It's beautiful, it's absolutely beautiful."

The Cambridges later attended a private breakfast reception at the London gallery to mark the unveiling.

Among the guests were Kate's parents Carole and Michael Middleton and her brother and sister Pippa and James.

Taylor Swift's Studio Tweet Singer Hits Lab After Harry Styles Break Up

In a tweet heard around the worlds of teens, pop music fans and gossip mongers, Taylor Swift announced that she was indeed back in the studio. Swift, who put out her massively successful album "Red" in October, doesn't really have any business recording new material. Except for the fact that she's once again newly single.

The 23-year-old is known for lacing her lyrics with digs at her ex-boyfriends, most of whom are quite famous. To date, the singer reportedly counts John Mayer (who's 35), Jake Gyllenhaal (32), Joe Jonas, Cory Monteith, Toby Hemingway, Zac Efron, Eddie Redmayne, Conner Kennedy, Taylor Lautner and a veritable coterie of other actors and musicians among her former lovers. She's dated so many famous blokes that the boys in The Wanted have suggested she might want to just take a break.

It follows, then, that Swift is just letting everyone know she's in the studio writing about her breakup with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles. Don't worry about Styles, though: He's headed off on a buddy trip with newly outed weed aficionado Justin Bieber. World, carry on.

The Easiest, Cheapest Way to Stay Healthy

An easy action that takes just 20 seconds can cut your risk for catching a cold, flu or other contagious diseases by up to 51 percent, recent studies show. And if everyone made it a regular habit, one million deaths a year would be prevented, according to the Centers for Disease Control, which calls this habit the single most important way to avoid spreading infection.

Frequent hand washing with soap and water can save you money—and misery—by helping you avoid medical bills, missed workdays, or having to stay home with a sick child. And you’ll also protect your friends and family: A CDC survey found that 40 million Americans a year fall prey to illnesses spread by hands, which can harbor up to 500,000 bacteria per square centimeter.

The 11 Germiest Places in Your Home
    Clean Hands Save Lives

Not only does lathering up protect you from respiratory illnesses like colds, but it also helps ward off more serious conditions, including hepatitis A, meningitis, and potentially life-threatening superbug infections, such as MRSA. Overall, 80 percent of all infectious diseases are spread by touch.

Here are just a few research findings that illustrate the protective power of clean hands:

Kids who washed their hands four times a day had 25 percent fewer school absences due to contagious diseases and 57 percent fewer sick days due to GI bugs.
When 40,000 Navy recruits were instructed to wash their hands five times a day, their rate of respiratory infections fell by 45 percent, according to a study published in American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
A 2011 study found that when students disinfected their hands three times a day with ethanol gel sanitizer, there was a 66 percent drop in pupils who missed four or more days due to illness and a 20 percent rise in students with zero absences, compared to data from the previous year.
Hand washing reduces risk for colds and other respiratory illnesses by 21 percent, according to the CDC.
Washing with soap and water lowers risk for diarrhea and severe or fatal intestinal infections by up to 59 percent, a systematic review published in Lancet reported.

But Chelsea Handler needs her brush and makeup man to get her ready for such bold and indeed beautiful photographs. This was evident when Jay Leno asked her to give some similar poses as she gave for the Playboy- of course with her cloths on- she developed cold feet.

I can understand it needs hundreds of thousands of dollars to get someone as beautiful as Chelsea Handler to undress and pose nude before camera to be viewed by everyone.

But I must admit she was as frank as she could be on Jay Leno show.

Chelsea Handler has posed for Playboy’s December issue.

Chelsea Handler is the television host of her own late night talk show “Chelsea Lately”, which airs on the E! network weeknights at 11:30pm.

“Chelsea Lately” was first broadcast in July of 2007 and quickly became a hit with Chelsea Handler’s trademark blend of sarcasm and commentary on everything from politics to celebrity culture, averaging over half a million viewers.

In October of 2008, it was announced that the program was renewed by E! and will run until 2009.

The show’s format opens with a roundtable of 3 guests, followed by one-on-one interviews with actors and comedians, in addition to off-the-wall, humorous sketches. Recent guests have included Lance Bass, Jenny McCarthy, and Tom Bergeron, among others.

Where you might not shop in 2013

Christmas season was a disappointment. GDP growth is slowing. Taxes are going up. What’s the retail industry to do? There’s really only one choice: close more stores.

Through the first nine months of 2012, closings were up 25% over the same period from the prior year (fourth quarter numbers aren’t available just yet). And Howard Davidowitz, chairman of retail banker and consultant Davidowitz & Associates, expects roughly the same pace of closings in 2013.

“The consumer is 70% of GDP. If growth is decelerating, how are you going to have (retail) growth? You’re not, you’re going to go on closing stores,” he says.

For the healthy and unhealthy alike, store closings are part of the landscape. And probably will be at least a little while longer. Start with those retailers that are sliding away altogether.  Fashion Bug, the discount women’s apparel chain whose parent, Charming Shoppes, was recently bought by Ascena Retail Group, announced it will shut down all 600 stores. Ascena will concentrate on igniting sales and profits at Charming Shoppe’s other chains, Lane Bryant and Catherines.

Meantime, closings continue at a fast clip for Blockbuster, the movie rental company whose business model has become o
utdated in recent years. Parent Dish Network, which bought Blockbuster out of bankruptcy in 2011, says it will drop another 500 stores, about a third of what remains. Analysts figure that unless Dish Network’s plan to sell mobile phones out of Blockbuster stores pans out, the remaining 1,000 locations may not last much longer either.

And what’s left to say about Sears, the epic retail failure of hedge fund manager Eddie Lampert, which has lost money for years following a merger with Kmart? After spending a fortune buying back stock, only to see its value keep declining, Lampert, who just inserted himself as Sears’ CEO, is now monetizing by selling off some of his best real estate and shuttering stores. Sears Holdings announced 172 closures in 2012. Lambert publicly insists he’s committed to improving operations – the company has slashed inventory and spent money to equip sales people with iPads to help them provide quicker service to customers. But some analysts believe that slicing up the company and selling off assets is inevitable. Davidowitz figures it’s just a matter of time before Sears goes away as an operating company, with its stronger brands like Craftsman and Kenmore getting gobbled up by competitors.

“I would call it an orderly liquidation,” he says.

Even those retailers doing okay are dealing with excess capacity, at least in the U.S.  Abercrombie & Fitch, the profitable seller of casual apparel, is slated to close 180 stores through 2015. Most are unprofitable domestic mall-centered locations. The same is largely true of Gap, which is sitting on plenty of cash but announced another 100 store closings this year as part of a long-term U.S. downsizing that will claim approximately 700 stores between 2007 and 2013. Both Gap and Abercrombie are investing more heavily overseas as they pare down domestically.

“Gap is making money and getting its product mix better,” says Davidowitz. “But it will still close about 100 stores a year.”  You could say the same for much of the industry.

Navy's Flammable Uniforms To Be Reviewed For Fire Safety

The Navy said Friday that it is reviewing whether its camouflage working uniforms are safe for sailors at sea after a test revealed exactly how flammable the material is.

In October, a test conducted by the Navy Clothing Textile Research Facility in Natick, Mass., showed the 50/50 cotton-nylon blend uniforms worn by most sailors aboard ships will burn and melt until they're completely consumed. In contrast, Army and Marine combat uniforms are designed to be self-extinguishing and are made of a mix including flame-resistant rayon.

The test results didn't surprise Navy leaders. The Navy removed the requirement for all sailors to wear flame-resistant uniforms at sea in 1996, although sailors in specific jobs such as engine room personnel, fire fighters and those in flight-related duties are still issued flame-resistant clothing.

But some sailors and their families were still upset about the test results and questioned why everyone isn't issued a flame-resistant uniform aboard a ship, where fires are especially dangerous.

On Friday, the commanders of U.S. Fleet Forces and U.S. Pacific Fleet sent a message to their commanders saying that a working group would review the issue.

"We will determine the level of protection our sailors need, given the missions and tasks we expect them to execute in their respective work environments," Adm. Bill Gortney, commander of U.S. Fleet Forces said in a statement.

It wasn't immediately clear how much replacing the uniforms with flame-resistant ones might cost if the Navy chooses to go that route. Those figures would largely depend on the working group's recommendations of exactly who needs a flame-resistant uniform. In December, the Defense Logistics Agency reported having 401,000 Navy Working Uniform trousers on hand that are valued at $14 million and 272,000 blouses on hand valued at $9.3 million.

Regardless, the Navy says the primary consideration for the working group is sailor safety.

"The organizational clothing working group has been tasked with providing fact-based information and determining whether to limit flame resistant organizational clothing to sailors who work in engineering departments, flight decks, and other high risk areas; or to expand fire resistant organizational clothing to all sailors afloat," Gortney said in a statement. "Those findings are necessary before any recommendations can be made about at-sea working uniforms."

Obama Inauguration 'Champagne' Makes French Whine

The French have been told to put a cork in it and stop whining about the "champagne" that will be served at President Obama’s inauguration party later this month.

The scuffle began when it was announced that Obama's swearing in would be celebrated with flutes of "Korbel Natural Russian River Valley Champagne." This really ticked off the Champagne Bureau, Washington's champagne lobby, which responded by saying that under U.S. law, sparkling wine made in California can only be called “California Champagne” -- not the other way round, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“We would urge the inaugural committee to follow that law and not state the sparkling wine being served is Champagne, as they did in today's release,” director of the Champagne Bureau Sam Heitner told The Hill, urging them to use the term “California Champagne" instead. “Champagne only comes from Champagne, France,” he added.

Yet, it seems Heitner does have a point. Most countries only recognize sparkling wine as champagne when it comes from the particular region in France. The U.S. only allows winemakers to use the word “Champagne” if the sparkling wine's origins are clearly stated and it was made before 2006.

The French are known to be particularly persnickety about their wines. They've also taken issue with the U.S. using the term Chateau on wine labels, the Washington Post reports.

In response, the Americans seem markedly less concerned by the error. Matt House, spokesman for the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, who urged the lobby to “have a glass of their own product and relax.

Meanwhile, California Rep. Jared Huffman says the French are just jealous.

“Only the finest champagne should be served at President Obama's inauguration celebrations, and in my opinion, the Inaugural Committee made the right call,

There are solutions for Iphone 4 problems ?

Hold the iPhone as shown in the video, means establishing a bridge between the two antennas, with the result makes it less powerful. On Engadget and Gizmodo some readers point out that the problem is particularly evident holding the device by touching the left side and bottom, a position common among left-handed users, or for anyone still keep the phone matched the left ear. The humidity accentuates the problem — the annoying hassle — you just have sweaty hands (though not seppiose) for worse. Millions noticing paychecks lighter today, due to payroll tax hike

Gabriella Hoffman’s paycheck is a little lighter today, thanks to a payroll tax increase that is forcing millions of Americans to make the kind of tough budget cuts their representatives in Washington lawmakers seem unwilling to tackle.

Hoffman, a 21-year-old Virginian who works at a nonprofit, estimates her paycheck will be roughly $30 less this biweekly pay period, or about $780 annually, thanks to the end of a two-year cut on payroll taxes, which fund Social Security. The tax has risen back up to 6.2 percent from 4.2 percent, costing someone making $50,000 annually about $1,000 per year and a household with two high-paid workers up to $4,500.

“As a newly-graduated person, someone coming straight out of college, I don’t like the idea of having less money coming to me due to the selfish interests of people in Congress who don’t have any interest in reducing our financial problems,” Hoffman told FoxNews.com. “This is an impediment for future economic growth. It’s going to make it harder for young people like myself to get married, find a better job, you name it.”

Hoffman admits the hike won’t completely alter her spending, but the University of California-San Diego graduate said she will definitely have it in mind when it comes to leisure activities and entertainment.

“Although it’s a small quantity on a monthly basis, just having less money going into my paycheck will prevent me from doing things and force me to be more frugal,” she said. “I’ll be more cautious with my spending.”

"It’s going to make it harder for young people like myself to get married, find a better job, you name it.”

The looming hit to Americans’ paychecks has been a hot topic around water coolers nationwide, as well as online, where several forums have been created for taxpayers to commiserate with their lighter wallets. On Twitter, #WhyIsMyPaycheckLessThisWeek has been a trending topic as most U.S. workers have either already seen less green or are preparing to do so.

“Well, looks like we're starting to pay back all of the money we've spent, without cutting back spending,” one posting read.

Another user cited the need for the U.S. government to “refill the Social Security ‘lockbox’” before stealing from it again as the reason paychecks are smaller.

Other postings chose to politicize the end of the tax cut that was part of the fiscal pact passed by Congress last week.

Elin Nordegren Bikin Tiger Woods' Ex Shows Off Flawless Body In The Bahamas

Elin Nordegren showed Tiger Woods exactly what he is missing when she stripped down to a skimpy bikini while on vacation in the Bahamas.

Nordegren showed off her flawless body in a sexy black lace string bikini while walking along the beach in the Bahamas on Sunday, Us Weekly reports. She topped off her look with a straw hat and sunglasses,

Some might find it hard to believe the Swedish former model is a mother of two.

Nordegren wore the skimpy string bikini just days after celebrating her 33rd birthday at the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island with her two children, her brother and his family, according to E! News.

Nordegren and Woods divorced in 2010 after nearly six years of marriage. The family was thrust into the spotlight when it was revealed that Woods had cheated on his wife with more than a dozen women. They now share custody of their two children, Sam, 5, and Charlie, 3.

Since the $100 million divorce, Nordegren has been romantically linked to businessman Jamie Dingman and Swedish hockey player Douglas Murray, whom she was spotted dining with in Miami last month.

Nordegren is currently building a $12.2 million, 21,000-square-foot mansion in North Palm Beach, Fla., TMZ reports.

Trail of Cheetos Leads to Store Robber

Police nabbed a South Carolina teenager when they followed a trail of Cheetos leading from a convenience store to a local residence where he was staying.

Austin Lee Westfall Presler, 19, was arrested on January 6 in Kershaw County, S.C., after allegedly stealing beer, cigarettes, snacks and energy drinks from the local Cassatt Country Store, WLTX reported. Calls placed to Kershaw County sheriff's office by ABCNews.com were not immediately returned.

Store manager Howard "Buck" Buckholz told ABCNews.com that Presler only stole $160 worth of goods, but caused upwards of $2,500 worth of damage.

"The fella broke in our store 2:30 a.m. on Sunday morning," he said. "We were called at 3:15 a.m. The fuel truck fella said that the front door had been knocked in, so he called it in. He knocked out our front door, he knocked out the beer cooler, and stole beer, cigarettes, Slim Jims, and in his haste, he punctured two or three bags of Cheetos."

Those Cheetos were strewn all over the store's floor and in the doorway. Buckholz said that a neighbor across the street told him and police that the car Presler was driving was parked across the street at the Hard Times Café.

"Cheetos were all over the parking lot, at the place where he parked his car, and at the residence," Buckholz said.

Presler does not live in the area, but was staying with someone that lives less than 1/5 of a mile from his store, Buckholz said.

Katrina Bowden's Hot Maxim Cover '30 Rock' Actress Strips Down To Lingerie

Katrina Bowden stripped down to nothing but lingerie for the January/February 2013 issue of Maxim, giving fans a very cheeky cover shot.

The 24-year-old blonde auditioned for "30 Rock" when she was just 16, and seven seasons later the show is coming to an end.

“It’s so weird that it’s ending,” she told Maxim. “I was so young and inexperienced when the show started, and the cast has basically been like family to me.”

The actress, who became engaged to Ben Jorgensen (who, incidentally, proposed right after her last Maxim cover) last January, also opened up about how working on the show from such a young age was a great learning experience.

“At first I felt like I was in over my head, but everyone made me feel so comfortable. I’d hang out with people from the show and go to 'SNL' tapings and the after-parties, and a lot of the writers were young. Like, Donald Glover wrote for the show before he was on 'Community,' and he’s just a little bit older than me," she explained to the magazine . "But it’s not like I was going crazy and partying, which might have been different if I’d been on a show with lots of young people, like Gossip Girl.”

    Steven Spielberg's 'Robopocalypse' Delayed Indefinitely

Steven Spielberg's "Robopocalypse" has been delayed indefinitely after DreamWorks removed the film from its release schedule. According to a press release from Disney and DreamWorks, "Robopacalypse" -- which had Chris Hemsworth, Anne Hathaway and Ben Whishaw attached to star -- was initially set for release on April 25, 2014. The Hollywood Reporter was the first publication to report the news.

Spielberg's attachment to the film dates back to October of 2010. In January of 2012, the director explained to Time Out London what fans could expect from his adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's novel.

"It's a movie about a global war between man and machine. I had a great time creating the future on 'Minority Report,' and it's a future that is coming true faster than any of us thought it would. 'Robopocalypse' takes place in 15 or 20 years, so it'll be another future we can relate to," he said. "It's about the consequences of creating technologies which make our lives easier, and what happens when that technology becomes smarter than we are. It's not the newest theme, it's been done throughout science fiction, but it's a theme that becomes more relevant every year."

Of course, Spielberg was whistling a slightly different tune in an interview with "60 Minutes" at the tail end of last year.

"I knew I could do the action in my sleep at this point in my career," Spielberg said about directing "Lincoln." "In my life, the action doesn't hold any -- it doesn't attract me anymore."

Maude Apatow's Kardashian Impression In 'This Is 40' Deleted Scene Is Spot-On

Judd Apatow's eldest daughter Maude is a rising star with a hidden talent.

In a deleted scene from "This Is 40," the 15-year-old pulls off a spot-on impression of Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian.

In the clip, Maude's character Sadie video chats with a male friend (Ryan Lee) about the Kardashians. According to her character, Khloe is the smartest out of all of them, but her nasally baby voice tends to get on her nerves (ours too). Meanwhile, Kourtney seems the most responsible, but the whole "Scott thing is hard. Because she loves him, but he's clearly out of control," she tells her friend referring to the eldest Kardashian's boyfriend and baby daddy.

Apatow gets bonus points for nailing Kourtney's sluggish valley girl drawl, but it's her impression of Kim that is awards-worthy.

"She's got that high voice, that kind of sounds like Khloe's voice and Kourtney's voice combined," she tells her friend, before launching into the best Kardashian impression we've heard.

Seriously, the cast of "SNL" might want to give Ms. Apatow a call the next time they want to mock a Kardashian or three.

Antonio Villaraigosa Insists Charlie Sheen Is Not His Party Bro

LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa insists that actor Charlie Sheen is not his party bro.

The mayor was responding to backlash he received after Sheen tweeted a photo
of himself with his arm around Villaraigosa at the opening of the actor's hotel bar, Hotel El Ganzo, in Cabo, Mexico.

Villaraigosa responded to the claim that he was partying with his personal buddy by saying to NBC, “I had a three minute conversation with him, I took a picture … I take a picture every single day, 50 times, and I took a picture with him. I have never said no to anyone who wanted to take a picture.”

However, he might want to consider saying no once in a while given the negative press Sheen has received for his substance abuse. Not to mention, Sheen made homophobic slurs at the hotel on the same trip.

The mayor has criticized the Los Angeles Times and the media in general for focusing on his private life, including his affair and divorce.

Just last week the mayor shot down rumors that he was dating actress Eva Longoria

Oxygen's New Show "All My Babies' Mamas" Makes Everyone Mad and it Hasn't Even Aired

Have we gone too far? It's a question we ask at the outset of every outrageous new reality series—be it "Survivor" or "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." It's also usually an early sign of a show's success.
    How reality TV hurts girls

But response to a new show teased as part of Oxygen Media's spring lineup, seems to mark a momentous moment when reality has truly jumped the shark. Collective and largely unchallenged outrage over the network's upcoming show "All My Babies' Mamas" is the unusual case of a show sparking enough controversy to potentially kill it.

"All My Babies' Mamas," a one-hour reality special slated to air in the spring of 2013, features Carlos "Shawty Lo" Walker, an Atlanta-based hip-hop artist with 11 children by 10 different women. Oh, he's also got a 19-year-old girlfriend, who's a year shy of his oldest child.

By the looks of the leaked sneak peak and an early press release, the show's take on this challenging family dynamic is more "Brady Bunch" than "An American Family."

"As the household grows, sometimes so does the dysfunction, leaving the man of the house to split his affection multiple ways while trying to create order," reads the goofy-sitcom-style description, in a press release posted the Oxygen's website late December. "Will there be a conflict over a family holiday, who needs school supplies and who holds the household finance purse strings, or can these feisty babies' mamas band together and live peacefully as one family unit?"

Since the show was publicized, the conflict has been primarily off-camera. Calls for a boycott of the network and a petition to pull the special from the network's lineup have risen to a fever pitch in the past week.

"By pushing these degrading images, your company seeks to profit from the humiliation of girls and women and the blatant stereotyping of African-Americans," writes, Sabrina Lamb, the woman behind the petition.

Lamb first noticed the press release on Oxygen's website, and after watching a 13-minute sample reel of the series on YouTube—which at one point features Shawty Lo unsuccessfully naming his 11 kids as quiz show music plays—she wrote an open letter to the present of Oxygen calling for the cancellation of the show before it goes to air.

"The focus of our outrage is that they would dare exploit the pain of these children and that Oxygen would promote this toxic situation to its young, impressionable female audience," Lamb, an author and cultural commentator, tells Yahoo! Shine. "There's no way this can go forward. We're going all the way to the end with this."

See Ya, Bikinis! One-piece Swimsuits Poised for a Takeover

Dieting and exercising are perhaps the most popular New Years Resolutions, but don't worry if you've indulged on a few too many holiday treats this year. Swimsuits are already trickling onto retail shelves and the spotlight is on one-piece swimwear, not bikinis. Yes, that extra inch to pinch around your tummy can potentially remain hidden all year.

Every stylish celebrity from the curvier gals like Beyonce, Christina Hendricks, and Kim Kardashian, to the skinny-minnies like Taylor Swift, Kate Moss, and Kirsten Dunst are rocking one-piece bathing suits, or "maillots." As a result, the rest of us are heading directly to department stores, boutiques, and affordable mass-market shops to scoop up similar styles. The New York Post found that one-piece swimsuit sales are up around 20 percent in local New York shops. We consulted industry experts to find out why.

[Victoria's Secret has many new one-pieces available, including this halter with side ruching] Victoria's Secret has many new one-pieces available, including this halter with side ruchingKatherine Power, celebrity style expert and co-founder of the fashion website Who What Wear feels strongly that celebrities are leading the trend. "Over the summer, Beyonce was spotted in a classic one-piece with a small attached skirt, which is great for those who prefer more coverage," Power tells Yahoo! Shine. "If you are looking for a more alluring way to wear the one-piece, take notes from Rihanna who wore one in December with side cut-outs and a deep v-neck."

Colleen Sherin, the senior fashion director at Saks Fifth Avenue, agrees that celebrities are making younger, trendier girls take interest. "As you see celebrities and fashion icons embracing one-pieces certainly that has an influence on a younger demographic," Sherin tells Yahoo! Shine. That said, Sherin feels these bathing suits are appropriate for all body types and ages, "from kids to women in their '80s." Power concurs, adding that "just like any other accessory or piece of clothing, swimsuits are a way for women to express their personal style. One-pieces are versatile, flattering, and can sometimes be sexier than showing more skin in a bikini." A flattering style for one and all? That's what we like to hear.

Sherin says fresh silhouettes and designs are also responsible for the market shift. "Designers are getting more innovative in one-piece design." says Sherin. "It doesn't have to be super sporty and active and covered up. Some one-pieces offer a more plunging neckline or halter neckline that can still be sexy." Skin-revealing cutouts, which have been a trendy fashion element in recent seasons, also translate well to swimsuits. Cutout details at the waist and back are a happy medium between bikinis and full coverage swimwear.

[Taylor Swift went the retro route in playful polka dots] Taylor Swift went the retro route in playful polka dotsBoth experts feel the design's renewed popularity may be a progression from the retro, fuller-coverage swimwear that's been a hit in recent seasons. Fashion trends evolve over time, and right now the popularity of the one-piece swimsuit has "a vintage, 1950s-pinup appeal that makes woman feel sexy and modern," says Power. Sherin agrees that "the one-piece is taking that popular pin-up girl style one step further. It's a very chic modern look." The aesthetic of a one-piece is also right on trend. "We're experiencing a little bit of a return to minimalism," says Sherin. "Not across the board, but the eye is changing a bit and we're seeing more clean, streamlined, pared-down designs."

Sherin says bikinis are still selling at Saks Fifth Avenue, but as one-pieces are embraced by fashion editorial, the store has updated its Spring Preview catalog, which mailed in early December. Usually, bikinis dominate, but "There are five bikinis and four one-pieces," says Sherin. "We have this amazing strapless bandeau one-piece in red, so it's this great color, and the bandeau is one of our most popular silhouettes. From Pucci we show both a sexy string bikini and a plunging one-piece. Everyone wants to have the option." She adds that "Michael Kors does a beautiful one-piece swimsuit, Calvin Klein, and Eres. We're seeing them on the runways as well; designers are showing them within the Spring/Summer collections." Power says you don't have to shell out for designer swimsuits. "Stores like T.J.Maxx and Marshalls carry great swimsuits for amazing prices. I'm a big fan of the bandeau one-piece, and bright colors are especially flattering when you have a tan."

Lea Michele Bikini 'Glee' Star And Cory Monteith Hit The Beach In Hawaii

Lea Michele and Cory Monteith kicked off the new year the right way -- by basking in the Hawaiian sun.

The "Glee" co-stars were spotted on New Year's Day enjoying a day at the beach, while the 25-year-old actress made a splash in a tiny red-orange bikini.

"In paradise and I've never been happier:) Time now to rest, relax, and enjoy some fun in the sun! Xo," she tweeted on Dec. 28.

The couple have been dating since February 2012, but have been more open about their relationship only in recent months. And while the majority of us are back to work, the couple are still very much enjoying their beachside vacation.

"Having the most amazing vaca:) Feeling so rested and relax and happy! Also rockin' some sweet tan lines right now.. lol," Michele tweeted on Jan. 3.

Chip Kelly, Michael Lombardi to unite with Browns?

NFL Network analyst Michael Lombardi is a known Chip Kelly fan. The University of Oregon coach is one of the most sought after NFL coaching candidates, but some wonder if his version of the spread-option will work in the NFL?

    Lombardi has no doubts.

"He's a very smart coach. He's a very analytical coach," Lombardi said Saturday on NFL Network's "First on the Field." "He's going to take the success that he has, he studies the pro game, and he's going to apply it to the pro game. His ideas in terms of what he does at Oregon, will always come into the NFL, but they won't necessarily be the offense.

"Anybody who says Chip Kelly's offense won't work in the NFL they really don't know Chip Kelly as a person. Chip Kelly's very smart, he's very analytical, and he'll adapt to the pro game and his talents as a leader will take over as a head coach. ... I like people that think outside the box. I like people that think differently."

The Cleveland Browns reportedly are close to hiring Kelly. The Browns need a general manager, also, and could have interest in Lombardi.

"I have not have conversations with the Cleveland Browns whatsoever," Lombardi said. "It's still a wait-and-see."

The general manager won't be hired until a decision is made on the coach. Lombardi, obviously, would be interested in working with Kelly and has history with the organization. These dominoes could start to fall soon.

Jay-Z & 'The Great Gatsby': Rapper Tapped To Score Upcoming Film Adaptation

    Jay Gatsby, meet Jay-Z.

Hov is reportedly the latest star to attach his name to the upcoming film adaptation of "The Great Gatsby." According to Jeymes Samuel of The Bullitts, he and Jay-Z will be writing the score for "Gatsby."

The first clue of Jay-Z's involvement with "The Great Gatsby" was shown in the film's trailer. The opulent lifestyle of Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) was set to the pumping beat of Jay-Z and Kanye West's "No Church In The Wild" -- take a look in the video above.

Cast members also leaked in April that director Baz Luhrmann played Jay-Z music on the set of "The Great Gatsby." "On my first day he had Jay-Z pumped up full, and we did the entire scene with, you know, Jay-Z in our ear on full blast while acting, and it was just so liberating," Isla Fischer told MTV.

Samuel announced the news on his Twitter account.
"The Great Gatsby," which stars DiCaprio, Fisher, Carey Mulligan, and Tobey Maguire, hits theaters May 10, 2013.

The Song Kanye Wrote About Being A Dad

News that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting their first child threatened to break the internet late Sunday and early Monday morning, throwing those who are easily distracted off the scent of America's impending fiscal doom and inspiring everyone with a smartphone to slap together some pithy joke for their Twitter followers and Facebook fans.

But as the dust settled and jokes about why Blue Ivy will be better than the gestating fetus inside Kim Kardashian lost their luster, one started to wonder what it would be like to be raised by Kanye West. A casual examination of West's music reveals a 35-year-old given to thinking about fatherhood, a subject that pops up with some regularity across his cannon.

His most direct treatment of the song comes, perhaps unsurprisingly, on a duet with Jay-Z. "New Day," off last year's "Watch the Throne," features the two rappers musing about the lessons they'd like to teach their children. Here's 'Ye's verse:

And I’ll never let my son have an ego
He’ll be nice to everyone, wherever we go
I mean, I might even make 'em be Republican
So everybody know he love white people
And I’ll never let 'em leave his college girlfriend
And get caught up with the groupies in the whirlwind
And I’ll never let 'em ever hit the telethon
I mean even if people dyin’ and the world ends
See, I just want him to have an easy life, not like Yeezy life
Just want him to be someone people like
Don’t want ‘im to be hated, all the time judged
Don’t be like your daddy that would never budge
And I’ll never let ‘im ever hit a strip club
I learned the hard way, that ain’t the place to get love
And I’ll never let his mom move to L.A.
Knowin' she couldn’t take the pressure, now we all pray
The song is a fine example of West's relentless commitment to honesty. The last couplet refers to West's late mother, Donda West, who died from complications from plastic surgery (West founded DONDA, an interdisciplinary design firm, in her honor). There's a self-awareness ("I'll never let my son have an ego ... [like mine]") and the understanding that most people (especially those who populate the comments sections of the internet) will remember him most for his brashest moments ("hit the telethon"). There's even a bit of self-disgust -- it's hard to imagine Rick Ross or any other big name rapper admitting he wasted time in seedy places (though, then again, that's sort of what every Drake song is about).

So in "New Day," the message is a simple one that's familiar to any parent: I want my child to be better than I am.

Sexiest PETA Ads Of 2012 The Hottest Stars Who Supported Animal Rights This Year

This year, a slew of hot stars posed (and stripped) for PETA in the name of animal rights.

Elisabetta Canalis, Evelyn Lozada, Olivia Munn, Wendy Williams and others dared to bare it all for PETA's "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign.

SCROLL FOR PHOTOS (WARNING: SOME IMAGES ARE NSFW)

"I decided to go nude because I think that nudity always creates a big reaction," Canalis, Italian superstar and ex-girlfriend of actor George Clooney, explained to PETA. "That is what is required to keep people's attention on such a brutal practice... These poor animals are electrocuted, skinned alive, drowned, and bludgeoned just for the sake of fashion."

Talk show queen Wendy Williams stripped naked in support of her anti-fur stance. "PETA has proven that there is a sexy way to suggest to people to rethink the fur," she told PETA. "And I like it and I'm down." Adding, "We should all try to be comfortable in our own skin and let animals keep theirs."

Model and actress Olivia Munn's naked PETA ad was so sexy that it had to be censored in California. Only a partial nude photo of Munn appeared on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Basketball Wives" star and former fur-wearer Evelyn Lozada hopes her PETA ad makes a difference. "Hopefully, if I could change someone's mind by not wearing fur, then I've saved an animal," she said.

Check out some of the hottest robed and disrobed stars who posed for PETA in 2012.
