  • God Bless America! Green Mile actor Doug Hutchison's 16-year-old bride is 'a good Christian girl,' insist her parents as new saucy photos emerge

Her mother insists she is a good Christian girl.
But these pictures of Green Mile star Doug Hutchison's 16-year-old bride, Courtney Alexis Stodden, would seem to suggest she does have a naughtier side.
The aspiring model and singer is seen here striking a series of lascivious poses for the camera.
In one she is pictured on a beach with just an American flag wrapped around her while in another she poses in a shocking pink bikini.
Courtney married 51-year-old Hutchison last month in a Las Vegas ceremony.
And while many parents may be horrified at the dramatic age gap, Courtney's mother and father have actually given it all their backing.
RadarOnline today posted a copy of the marriage certificate, which details how the nuptials took place on May 19.
The service was held at the Chapel Of The Flowers and was officiated by Reverend Douglas Gilbert, with Courtney's mother Krista acting as a witness.
With Courtney looking older than her 16 years, many have questioned her age, although the webside claims the documents prove she will be turning 17 on August 29.
Courtney's father, Alex Stodden, who at 47 is four years younger that his son-in-law, and her mother Krista even gushed about the new addition to the family.
'Every father can only pray to have such a man behind their daughter,' he told Radaronline. 'Doug is the nicest man I’ve ever met in my life.'
He says that Courtney is an intelligent girl and he has no concerns about her decision.

'Courtney is one of the most level headed girls out there and I’m not just saying that because she’s my daughter,' he said.

A comfortable victory: Tennis player who had breast reduction to ease back pain enjoys win in first round at Wimbledon

At the age of 17, Simona Halep decided that nothing would stand in the way of  her ambition to make it to the top in  tennis. And that included her generous curves.
She underwent extensive breast  reduction surgery to take her from a 34DD to a more modest 34C and as a result rocketed up 450 places in the world rankings.
Two years on, she breezed through  her first-round match yesterday and said she was looking forward to a ‘successful Wimbledon’.
When she burst on to the scene as a  junior champion at the French Open in 2008, Miss Halep’s bountiful chest attracted lots of attention and a growing male fan base.
But she found it was uncomfortable, caused her severe back pain and hampered her movement on court, leaving her ranked 500 in the world.
Following the operation, the Romanian teenager spent several months resting before resuming her career last summer.
She had revealed her decision to fans before going under the knife – and many (presumably male) petitioned her in an attempt to persuade her to reconsider.
But she said her mind was made up.
‘My ability to react quickly was worse and my breasts made me uncomfortable.’
Her large chest guaranteed her attention - and won her a few male admirers - but for Romanian tennis hopeful Simona Halep it was a hindrance.
The extra weight on her chest was uncomfortable and caused severe back pain, which affected her performance on the court - so she decided to have breast-reduction surgery.
And the 19-year-old Romanian today continued to reap the rewards of her decision with a comfortable victory against her Serbian opponent, Bojana Jovanovski, 19, winning 6-1 6-2.
Halep was first noticed on her way to becoming junior champion at the French Open in 2008. In a bid to boost her game, she spent much of the following year recovering from the surgery, which took her cup size down from 34DD to a more modest 34C.

Developing Countries Host 80 Percent Of Displaced People

Released to coincide with World Refugee Day, a new U.N. report found that a staggering 80 percent of forcibly displaced people around the world are being hosted by developing nations rather than more economically-stable countries who would be better prepared to absorb them.

Prepared by the United Nations High Commissioner For Refugees (UNHCR), the 2010 Global Trends report shows that many of the world's poorest nations are also hosting massive refugee populations. With an estimated 1.9 million displaced persons within its borders, Pakistan hosts the refugees, with Iran and Syria coming in close behind, at about 1.1 million and 1 million respectively.

"In today’s world there are worrying misperceptions about refugee movements and the international protection paradigm,” UNHCR head António Guterres is quoted by the Christian Science Monitor as saying. “Fears about supposed floods of refugees in industrialized countries are being vastly overblown or mistakenly conflated with issues of migration. Meanwhile it’s poorer countries that are left having to pick up the burden.”

Of course, the data looks likely to shift in the coming year, as the report does not include those displaced by this year's conflicts in Libya or Syria, TIME reports.

Pakistan Army Officer Detained For Militant Links

Pakistan's army spokesman says a senior officer serving at army headquarters has been detained for suspected links with a banned militant group.
Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas said Tuesday that Brig. Ali Khan is being questioned by army authorities over the links. He said Khan was detained recently but did not provide an exact date or specify the banned militant group involved.
The detention follows reports by U.S. officials that Pakistan detained five Pakistanis, including an army major, for helping the CIA carry out the American commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden last month. The Pakistani army denied an army major was arrested.

Tom Hanks On Univision: Weather Segment Dance

Tom Hanks is hitting the press junket hard, pitching his new comedy, "Larry Crowne," to anyone and everyone -- regardless of what language they speak. And it was during a four segment, lost-in-translation appearance on Spanish language Univision's "Despierta America" that Hanks may have actually trumped his comedic film with a bizarrely hilarious set of dance moves.
After roughly understanding what the hosts had to say, Hanks moved over to do the weather -- and show some flair. While reading the temperatures, he danced with the normal meteorological presenter in a non-step series of amazing -- and for his sake, hopefully unplanned -- dance moves.
    And it tired him out.

    Should Women Really "Go Ugly"?

This post originally appeared on The Good Men Project

Vicki Larson and I have been having a fairly heated conversation about what ugly has to do, or not do, with a man being marrying material. Her Huffington Post column got huge attention for claiming that women should choose ugly husbands, lest they be subject to the Weiner/Tiger/Arnold syndrome--appealing and powerful men who crash and burn.
I am not sure we will ever agree completely, but in my direct conversations with Vicki I get the sense that we actually agree, perhaps more than we disagree. Vicki and I thought it might be informative to engage in a spirited question and answer about her original piece and my sense of what manhood really is all about.
Tom: Vicki, everywhere I look, there are articles that attempt to summarize manhood (ironically most often written by women). Don't you think making sweeping stereotype-driven judgments about men is the same thing as making those judgments about women, or blacks or gays?
Vicki: You're surprised? Women love analyzing men! Sweeping stereotypes are horrible -- I hate being seen as a high-maintenance gold-digger living off my ex's hard-earned money just because I'm a divorced blonde. Intelligent people understand that the world doesn't work in absolutes -- "never" and "always."
What saddens me reading the comments here and elsewhere is that we still focus on how "bad" the other sex is. The studies I cite are old, they've been written about many times before, but because of social media, many people knee-jerk react and spread it faster, farther and wider than before. So much for thoughtful commentary.
Tom: I heard an interesting interview with Jon Hamm, who plays Don Draper on "Mad Men," in which he talked about how difficult it is for him to be objectified. He was serious about it and appeared to be an honest and sweet man despite his good looks. Should we be feeling sorry for him?
Vicki: We all want to feel attractive, not objectified. Still, Hamm chose a career that feeds off of good looks and he's being paid well and has many opportunities because of it. But it's great he's talking about it because women don't know how men feel about being lust objects. Most women, however, do; even women who aren't "beautiful" are drooled over because they might have great breasts or a butt. We need to be empathetic to how the other sex experiences things; Louanne Brizendine's books on male and female brains are great.

Britney Spears Gives Fan a Lap Dance During L.A. Concert

Reigning queen of pop, Britney Spears, has always been a spectacular performer-- and her Monday night concert Los Angeles was no exception. The 29-year-old singer, in the midst of a 33-city Femme Fatale tour, got the party started by pulling a fan on stage and surprising him with a lap dance.

According to the Daily Mail, Spears pulled an unsuspecting male fan on during her song, 'Leather and Lace.' Dressed in a black and nude one-piece with fishnet stockings, the singer teased the fan with a pink boa while dancing provocatively around him. At one point, she even wrapped her legs around his neck.

Perhaps Spears was taking a performance note from fellow pop star Rihanna? Just last week, Rihanna also performed a lap dance on stage during a show. Only difference? Rihanna performed for a female fan.

James Blunt Poses Near Auschwitz And Angers Fans

The "You're Beautiful" singer enraged fans by posing outside a dilapidated building near former Nazi death camp Auschwitz, and writing on his Facebook page: "Uh, this is my hotel in Poland," reports The Daily Mail.

Since the photo went up on Saturday, Blunt's Facebook page has been flooded with more than 17,000 comments and complaints regarding the bizarre remark made during his stay in Oświęcim, where Auschwitz is located.

According to The Daily Mail, the singer was actually staying in five-star accommodations throughout his tour, which included a stop at the Life Festival at Mosir Stadium, just a few miles from the site where hundreds of thousands were killed more than 60 years ago.

Zahara and Shiloh Meet Brad Pitt's Zombie Costars

The Jolie-Pitt women came to see the zombies on the set where World War Z is filming, with Daddy – Brad Pitt – as the star.

Angelina Jolie brought her eldest daughters, Zahara, 6, and Shiloh, 5, to a downtown location in Malta's capital city of Valletta on Tuesday afternoon, sources tell PEOPLE.

The 90-minute visit to the location in the narrow historic district occurred during Pitt's lunch break. He was seen holding Zahara's hand while showing her around St. Anne's Street while Angelina kept rein on Shiloh.

Terry O'Quinn Joins 'Hawaii 5-0' In Recurring Role

While "Hallelujah," his ABC pilot didn't pan out, it didn't take long for Emmy-winning "LOST" alum Terry O'Quinn to find his way back to television.

In a fitting move, O'Quinn will feature in an island-set show filmed in Hawaii once again, as TV Line reports that he'll have a very important recurring role on "Hawaii 5-0." O'Quinn will take on the role of a Navy Seal Lt. Commander, who, having trained McGarrett (played by Alex O'Loughlin), "holds some of the answers to the mysteries surrounding the respective murders of McGarrett’s mother and father."

The role will reunite him with "LOST" cast mate Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Chin Ho Kelly.

O'Quinn has plenty of experience playing a military man, as he played General Nicholas Alexander in seven episodes of "The West Wing," Col. Will Ryan in a guest appearance on "NCIS" and also played F.B.I. Assistant Director Kendall in "Alias."

Since leaving "LOST," O'Quinn featured in the TV movie, "Taken from Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story."

Kim Kardashian’s Father’s Day Lunch Date

It may be Father’s Day, but that doesn’t mean Kim Kardashian has forgotten about another important person in her life — her grandma!

The reality star and her maternal grandmother, MJ, were spotted out and about in Beverly Hills while getting lunch on Sunday afternoon. We can see where the Kardashian ladies get their good looks and sense of style!

In addition to Kim’s family time, she was also able to squeeze in a bit of party time as well.

Kim attended the birthday party of Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber‘s manager) last night, and tweeted about the good time!

In addition to sharing a twitpic with the caption, “2 legit 2 quit,” she said:

Selena Gomez's 'When The Sun Goes Down' Gets Songs From Katy Perry, Britney Spears

Katy Perry and Britney Spears appear on a CD together but it's not the latest "Now" compilation.

Rather, the pop singers have written songs on Selena Gomez & the Scene's new album, "When the Sun Goes Down."

"I did have a lot of artists that I was very lucky enough to have songs written by and it's a good, uplifting album," Gomez said of her third CD. "It's really fun and very dance-y and I hope people like it."

Spears co-wrote the dance song "Whiplash," while Perry co-penned "That's More Like It. Singer Priscilla Renea – who co-wrote Rihanna's "California King Bed" and Cheryl Cole's "Promise This" – co-penned three songs on Gomez's album, including the lead single and Top 40 hit "Who Says." And the disc has a writing credit and guest appearance from British singer Pixie Lott.

"I think it's a powerful CD," Gomez said in a recent interview.

The 18-year-old's first two albums have reached gold status. The new record – which has three songs co-penned by Gomez – is out next week.

Days after her disc's release, Gomez will get another girl-power boost with the July 1 release of her new movie, "Monte Carlo," which also stars Leighton Meester of "Gossip Girl" and was co-produced by Nicole Kidman.

Gomez says leaving Los Angeles to shoot in Paris and Budapest was "so refreshing." But the grueling promotional tour that has followed – maybe not so much.

The nationwide campaign, including a string of mall appearances, was recently interrupted when Gomez was hospitalized in Los Angeles for exhaustion, malnourishment and low iron.

'Wet Hot American Summer' Prequel Planned, Says David Wain

A beloved film that launched or shoot into hyperdrive the careers of some of today's top comedic actors, writers and directors, "Wet Hot American Summer," released in 2001, already featured hilarious stars hilariously overaged for their roles as summer camp counselors and campers, circa 1981.

Now, ten years later, things may get even more hilariously ridiculous.

David Wain co-wrote (with "Stella" and "The State" cast mate Michael Showalter) and directed the film, which co-starred their third co-star, Michael Ian Black, as well as Paul Rudd, Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Christopher Meloni and Molly Shannon, among others. And he recently said that they're in the process of making a prequel to the film -- with the same actors.

"Yes, we have been talking about a sequel, prequel, something or other," he told Jeff Goldsmith of the Q&A Podcast (via Indiewire). "The prequel would be the same summer so they would be 20 years old for the part yeah, but not younger. So it would be 40 year olds playing 16 year olds. And yeah, we’re in the early stages of thinking about that."

It would be an interesting experiment, as some of the film's smaller player are now the biggest of the stars involved, including Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper and Elizabeth Banks. Would the film focus more on them? Bring in new characters? Hard to say at this point.

President Obama Can Charm Even A Hysterically Crying Baby

With his daughters in double digits, President Obama probably hasn't had to soothe a sobbing baby for several years.

But in the video below, the Dad-In-Chief looks like a total pro. When a fan gives her crying child to Michelle and the baby wails away, Barack laughs and says, "You better give her back!" But instead Michelle hands the little girl over and much to everyone's shock (especially Michelle -- that facial expression is priceless), the baby immediately stops crying.

President Obama, meanwhile, just bounces the tot around with an "I told you so" smile on his face. Yeah, he's that good.

India vs West Indies 1st Test Live Streaming | Ind vs WI Day 2

Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh struck flamboyant half-centuries, yet India endured a rocky start to the first Test against West Indies on Monday.
Raina hit the top score of 82, and Harbhajan supported with 70, as the Indians, electing to bat, were dismissed for 246 in their first innings about 45 minutes after tea on an action-packed first day at Sabina Park.
Ishant Sharma then set West Indies back with the scalp of Lendl Simmons for three, as the home team reached 34 for one at stumps.
Sharma had Simmons caught at forward short leg off the inside edge, as West Indies faced a difficult 1½ hours before the close.
Raina pummelled 15 fours from 115 balls in just over 2¾ hours, and Harbhajan smote 10 fours and one six from 74 balls in just over two hours.
They propped up the innings with a seventh wicket stand of 146, after the visitors ran into trouble on 85 for six in the first 15 minutes after lunch.
The World No. 1 however, then lost their last four wickets cheaply.
Fidel Edwards, making a return to the international game after a two-year injury layoff, was the pick of the West Indies bowlers, finishing with four for 56 from 16 overs, justifying his selection ahead of Kemar Roach.
Ravi Rampaul ended with three for 59 from 18.2 overs, and leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo captured three for 75 from 11 overs.
Before lunch, India failed to justify their decision to bat, limping to 69 for four.
The Indians were rocked early on, when Murali Vijay was caught at backward point for eight slicing a drive off Rampaul, who also bowled debutant left-hander Abhinav Mukund off the inside edge for 11.
VVS Laxman joined Rahul Dravid, and stemmed the fall of wickets for close to an hour, but he was caught at slip for 12 off the first delivery from Bishoo, edging a loose drive, and leaving the visitors on 64 for three.
The rot continued when Virat Kohli, another Test newcomer, was caught behind for four, playing defensively forward to Edwards in the final over before the interval.
After the interval, India suffered two quick setbacks – both to Bishoo – in successive overs, and seemed to put West Indies in charge.
Dravid made 40 before he edged a loose drive to Sammy at slip off the spinner, who also had the Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who like Dravid and Laxman were rested for the one-day series, caught at second slip for a two-ball duck.

Could Lady Gaga be running out of ideas for her stage shows?

Could Lady Gaga be running out of ideas for her stage shows?
The pop superstar emerged from a cocoon during her performance at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada this weekend, a stunt she has pulled twice already.
Gaga, 25, was at the event to perform some of her recent hits, including Edge Of Glory, and to pick up two awards.

She entered the stage via the egg-like cocoon, just as she did at the Grammy Awards in February this year - she also popped out of a chamber during a performance on Saturday Night Live late last month.
This time however the contraption was suspended above the ground, whereas the previous two crysalis-esque devices were laid down horizontally on the ground.
For the duration of her appearance on the Canadian awards show, Gaga remained relatively covered up in comparison to her usual outrageous get up.

By Lady Gaga standards, her ensembles were positively demure.
In fact the Queen of shocktastic fashion and barely-there outfits turned out to the ceremony with much more material per square inch than usual.
Despite changing into an array of outfits, the 25-year-old singer kept relatively covered up - which was perhaps something to do with the slightly fuller figure she was seen to be sporting as she arrived.

The Edge of Glory star, who won two awards at the event, turned up at the ceremony in Toronto, Canada, in a form-fitting little black dress which showed a more curvy shape around her midsection.
Last year Gaga's former tour manager, David Ciemny, claimed that the star would starve herself to fit into her revealing stage outfits.
He alleged the singer would go on unhealthy food binges before barely eating in a bid to slim down - saying she once lost 20lbs between fittings.

Mean Simon ought to be like his mum... she was a lovely judge

Julie Cowell, 86, pulled the same facial expressions as the Britain's Got Talent and X Factor star when she watched wannabes in a contest at the weekend.

But instead of reducing them to tears, they were all smiles after she told them what she thought of their acts. Little Saffron Barker, winner of the Under-12s section, said: "It was really fun to have Julie Cowell judging us.

"I'm glad she wasn't like Simon Cowell - because sometimes he's a bit mean to the people singing.

"I think maybe he should be a bit more like her."

Over-12s winner Amy Moore, 17, added: "I think I'd have been more nervous singing in front of Simon - he is maybe a bit more harsh.

Julie, who was judging Rottingdean's Got Talent and lives in the East Sussex village, tends to agree. She wouldn't sit on a panel with her 51-year-old son because they'd argue too much.

'I have a fair bit of cellulite but this is the happiest I've ever been with my body': Jennifer Metcalfe opens up about her figure

She has a womanly shape with a curvy derriere and a tiny waist wearing a trim size six to eight.
But like many women, Jennifer Metcalfe suffers from a common body issue, cellulite.
The Hollyoaks actress has spoken out about her body after pictures emerged showing some dimpling on her thighs while wearing a bikini on holiday earlier this month.

Speaking to Heat magazine the 28-year-old actress said: ‘I have cellulite, yeah and a fair bit of it. My mum had it and it’s hereditary.’
And she doesn’t let bad lighting or an unflattering photograph get her down, speaking of the photos, taken while she was in Ibiza with Slyvian Longchambon  she said: ‘I don’t have it down the back of my knees like that. I don’t actually look like that.’
She added: ‘I’m very realistic. If someone takes a bad picture, I’m like, “Oh God, bad picture move on.”’
The actress who plays Mercedes McQueen in the Chester-based soap, admitted having liposuction on her upper thighs and bottom last year and recently she said: 'I think surgery is a really personal decision that only you can make.

'It's tacky and disgusting': Holly Madison slams rival Playboy bunny Crystal Harris for partying on cancelled wedding day

Holly Madison has blasted Crystal Harris for going to a Las Vegas pool party on Saturday - the day of her cancelled wedding to Hugh Hefner.
Harris, 25, headed for Sin City's Wet Republic, telling People magazine that she just needed to 'get away' after calling off her big day with Hefner at the last minute.
But Madison, 32, who also once dated the Playboy founder, branded the move 'tacky'.
Taking to Twitter, the former star of The Girls Next Door wrote: 'That's a new low.'
But Crystal insisted that the party was simply a distraction. 'I just had to get away. Today is the day and I just had to get away. I'm going back tonight so I just wanted to get away for the day,' she said.
Jilted groom: Harris cancelled plans to marry the Playboy moment at the 11th hour
And she stood by her decision to ditch Hefner, 85. I just knew when it was getting close it wasn't fair to [Hefner] and wasn't fair to go through with it. I wanted to be true to myself and be true to what was best for everybody,' she said.

'I love [Hefner]. He is the sweetest person I've ever met in my entire life and I'll always love him and he'll always be a dear friend and I'll always visit him all the time.'
She also claimed that his love of other women was one of the major problems in their relationship.
'It doesn't make sense to have so many women around but still have a marriage,' she said.
'It doesn't make sense, so it was the right thing. I wasn't the only woman in Hef's life and it wasn't going to stay that way after the marriage.'
It is not the first time Madison has lashed out at Harris.
She was opposed to the couple's marriage from the beginning and in January expressed concern that Harris would end up divorcing Hef and 'take all his money'.
Madison was previously Hefner's 'number one' girlfriend for six years before they broke up in 2008 over his refusal to wed.
She admitted  she was shocked to find out Hefner had had a change of heart about marriage after meeting Harris.
She is now dating Jesse Waits, a managing partner at the XS nightclub in Las Vegas. He is also the brother of Paris Hilton's boyfriend Cy Waits.

For Bea, what a difference three years makes as self-conscious teen is transformed into glam princess

Growing up in the spotlight is never easy.
But these days Princess Beatrice cuts a much more confident figure.
The 22-year-old student showed off the full extent of her stunning weight loss this weekend as she holidayed with her long-term boyfriend Dave Clark on a £400,000-a-week super-yacht in the South of France.

As she sunned herself off the coast of Antibes, Beatrice’s black strapless swim suit displayed her slender frame to perfection.
And while the frills across her chest and hips highlighted the curves inherited from her mother the Duchess of York, the Queen’s granddaughter showed that she has kept up the regime developed with her personal fitness instructor in the lead-up to last year’s London Marathon.

Her toned appearance on Sunday was a far cry from pictures of the Princess in a tight blue bikini in the Caribbean in 2008, which spurred her shedding her puppy fat.
Beatrice told the Daily Mail at the time: ‘It was such an unflattering bikini and I've got one that's so much nicer, so I could have kicked myself for wearing it.
Beatrice then swapped her bikini for a one-piece suit
    Bea diving off the yacht
Taking the plunge: Beatrice shows off the results of her hard work in a black string bikini
'I thought people were a bit mean, although I know it comes with the territory. The trouble is, I don't have much confidence so it can be quite upsetting. I could probably do with losing the odd pound though, so perhaps it is the kick I need.'
But this weekend the royal’s self-assurance was palpable as she changed into a bikini and let down her auburn locks.
Watched by admiring friends on the 195ft German-built yacht Oasis where she and 29-year-old Mr Clark are thought to have stayed as guests, Beatrice leapt into the air on the end of a trapeze before plunging into the Mediterranean.
An equally svelte Mr Clark, a millionaire’s son who works for Virgin tycoon Sir Richard Branson, executed an impressive back-flip from the boat’s second deck.
The six-berth yacht comes with a crew of 15 and a gym that transforms into a private nightclub. According to online advertisements, it can be chartered for between £285,000 and £418,000 a week

Nokia Community Device Program for Developers and for Saving Nokia

For the first time in years, I see Nokia doing something that has impressed me. The Community Developer Program is a program where you can sign up for Nokia developer devices and aid in the development of apps for the latest Nokia smartphone N9. But it is not the Community developer program as much as as it is the astounding new Nokia N9.
If you are a Meego community developer, you can get a developer device that will allow you to write apps for the Nokia N9 and Meego.
Although with the beautiful Nokia N9 devices, I doubt Nokia needs saving anymore. Keep an eye on this page to get notified when the Nokia N9 is available in stores and will head for a release. That will bring about some update on the Nokia N9 price as well because no one has a clue as of yet. Though if you are in India, you will be disappointed to see that we are not in the country list. Thus, you will not get any update on the Nokia N9 release date, not before others across the world do!
This video will tell you more about the new Nokia N9 which has come a long way from the Nokia N8. [I appreciate the use of different channels for different instruments.]

Bad Teacher: Cameron Diaz Gets Raunchy In Gag Reel

Cameron Diaz will display an impressive sex drive and filthy mouth in her upcoming comedy, "Bad Teacher."
Turns out that, in real life, she can be even dirtier.
Diaz goofs up alongside Justin Timberlake and Jason Segel in this gag reel for the film, which hits theaters June 24th. Diaz plays a bitter junior high teacher whose life gets thrown out of whack when the rich man she's set to marry dumps her -- now, she actually has to teach indefinitely, not retire once she gets that ring.
Justin Timberlake is the sweet, naive and well-inherited rich new teacher whom she sets her sights on, while Segel is the much better fit of a man who wants to learn some very intimate lessons from Diaz.
As awkward as her relationship with Timberlake is on screen, the pair of exes didn't have a problem at all working with each other.
"We wanted the best person for the job, and Justin was that person," Diaz told the Associated Press in March. "He's such a great comedian. He's proven himself over and over again... The only thing that I think we were concerned with was what people would make up. The stories that people would make up about us. We were hoping that wouldn't happen, because we're there to work, and we didn't want to have to be distracted by any of those things. And fortunately, for the most part, the media behaved themselves."

Sao Paulo Fashion Week Protestors Call For 20 Percent Quota Of Black Models

Protestors at this season's Sao Paulo Fashion Week called for a 20 percent quota of indigenous and black models to be used on the event's runways, the Guardian reports.

Back in 2008, the BBC wrote that only 28 out of 1,128 models booked for Sao Paulo Fashion Week that year were black. As one modeling agent said, "The black models can't get jobs and have no access, don't have a good distribution of money or earnings and live in a sub-world, because there are no job opportunities."

And the New York Times reported on the issue last summer, writing, "70 percent of the country's models come from three southern states that hardly reflect the multiethnic melting pot that is Brazil, where more than half the population is nonwhite." Erika Palomino, a fashion consultant in Sao Paulo, told the newspaper, "I was always perplexed that Brazil was never able to export a Naomi Campbell, and it is definitely not because of a lack of pretty women. It is embarrassing."

Organizers previously agreed to a 10 percent quota of black models. But the plan apparently unraveled this time around, with designers ignoring the modish minorities altogether.

Activist Frei Davi Santos explained to the Guardian:

"Sao Paulo fashion week sells the image of a Swiss Brazil where everyone is white and blue-eyed. The organizers...forget that more than half of Brazil's population is black....According to the latest census we blacks represent 50.8% of the Brazilian population. This means an event which presents a majority of people with typically European characteristics does not represent the beauty and wealth of Brazilian ethnicity. Brazil is a country that still insists on emphasizing its European side and discriminating against its beautiful indigenous and Afro-Brazilian populations. We do not want catwalks that look like catwalks in Switzerland or England."

    BeautifulPeople.com Invaded By 30,000 Uglies

Today in fact or fiction: BeautifulPeople.com, a dating website so vain it probably thinks this article's about it (and it is!), was briefly invaded by 30,000 "ugly" people who were granted membership thanks to a Shrek virus, likely planted by a reject.
Typically, BeautifulPeople.com hopefuls submit photographs to the site, which are then voted on by its 700,000 existing members. However, Greg Hodge, managing director of BeautifulPeople.com, said in a press release, "We got suspicious when tens of thousands of new members were accepted over a six-week period, many of whom were no oil painting." The unattractive additions (including 11,924 Americans) were cast off the "island," as Hodge calls it, and a hotline was set up to handle any hurt feelings.
Hodge explained to The Huffington Post, "Communities need to be exclusive to serve the purpose of the community. Exclusion is prevalent all through society. Look at Mensa and the national football team; all go through a selection process, some are accepted some are not. BeautifulPeople is no different aside from the fact that our process is democratic. There are some sites out there where you have to be a certain religion or color. BeautifulPeople is open to every race, color, creed and religion and represents every ethnicity, the proviso being our members find you beautiful."
He added, "If Mensa's database was mistakenly flooded with 30,000 dummies, they would not start putting out easier IQ tests!"
So what makes for a perfect BeautifulPeople.com member? Hodge told us, "Men will vote on women based solely on how they look...surprise, surprise. Women look at the bigger overall picture; yes, the men have to be attractive but they also have to write a reasonably articulate profile description, show a little character or sense of humor. A high income also helps as does a picture showing a good lifestyle."
We were pretty wary of this too-good-to-be-true scoop, so BeautifulPeople put us in touch with Asia, 39, who remarked to HuffPost, "Because looks are important to me in a partner, I want to belong to a website where every profile I search through is attractive.

"
When asked what message she had for those who were rejected, she said, "
Bye bye! No, seriously, I would say don't take it too hard. I'm a make-up artist working in the beauty business in L.A! I see rejection all the time. Everyone has their strengths. You have to pick yourself up and get on with real life."

Charlene Wittstock In Vogue: Finding My Fashion Feet Has Certainly Been A Challenge

Vogue caught up with Charlene Wittstock, set to marry Prince Albert II at the beginning of July. The future princess discussed first meeting Albert at the 2000 Olympics (she's a swimmer), adjusting to life in Monaco and her plans to inaugurate a fashion week there.

    On cultivating her personal style:

"Finding my fashion feet has certainly been the biggest challenge," she says, remembering her "trial by fire" at Monaco's 2007 Red Cross Ball. "'I was literally a fish out of water. I thought it was all fun, fun, fun, and didn't give my outfit any thought. I had been playing beach volleyball all day, painted my nails red, and threw on a green dress. I thought I looked great at the time, but looking back, I realize that my debut into Monaco society should have been better executed!"

On listening to other people about how she should dress:

"I was insecure. I felt pressure to err on the side of caution -- I was terrified of meeting a head of state in an over-the-top outfit....I've reached the point where I know what I like and what works. I'm starting to play with fresher, bolder, and more daring looks." She was helped by Giorgio Armani, who will dress her for the religious part of her wedding and who notes that her casual elegance and slender figure look equally good in suits and evening gowns with necklines "that emphasize the beautiful structure of her shoulders."

On her relationship with Karl Lagerfeld:

"Karl took me to his workshop in Paris. He said, 'You are going to be a style icon. You bring a breath of fresh air and modern glamour to Monaco.' Then he asked me if there was one item of clothing that I had always wanted to experiment with, and I replied, 'A smoking jacket.' He went back to his apartment and presented me with his own white shirt and smoking jacket from his closet."

Latin American Drug Traffickers May Use Submarines To Move Drugs Across The Atlantic

Latin American cocaine traffickers may be using submarines to move the Europe-bound drugs across the Atlantic Ocean, a top official said Monday during a conference aimed at stemming the flow of the drugs through Africa.
Alexandre Schmidt, the head of the West African branch of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, said drug cartels are known to have already used submarines off the South American and Caribbean coast. Even though no submarines have been seized in West African waters, there is anecdotal evidence to suggest they are in use there as well, he said.
"We are not talking about military vessels here, but rather smaller ones which can be bought freely on the international market by anybody who has a couple of million dollars to spare," said Schmidt, who spoke during the inaugural session of a policy committee, dubbed the West Africa Coast Initiative.
The initiative was launched in 2009, after a United Nations report showed that the illicit flow of cocaine through the region boomed, surpassing even the GDP of some of the countries through which the drugs were trafficked.
West Africa became a stopover point for drug cartels after demand began to wane in North America at the same time prices soared in Europe, prompting the traffickers to shift their operation.
Due to tightened airport and maritime controls in Europe, the traffickers needed to find a halfway point. Experts say that the drugs were first brought to West Africa in small boats, then twin-engine planes. They landed on deserted islands and abandoned runways, before being parceled out to be carried north.
The cartels took advantage of corrupt institutions and lax law-enforcement, and in some countries they operated with the complicity of ruling families.
The trade evolved with the use of cargo planes, first discovered in November 2009 when a Boeing 727 landed in the Malian desert, miles from the nearest town or commercial airport. When authorities arrived, the aircraft had already been set alight, prompting authorities to speculate that it was being used to carry cocaine.

'Glee' Original Cast Graduating, Ryan Murphy Says

Here's the one drawback with TV series about kids: they grow up.
Unless a showrunner can suspend the laws of time and begin writing seasons that address just days or weeks, they eventually face a decision as to how they'll adapt their shows to older stars. Will they follow them from high school to new stages in life? Or bring in new characters? Perhaps both?
According to "Glee" showrunner Ryan Murphy, he's leaning toward doing the latter.
He confirmed to Ryan Seacrest that he's looking to move the current cast on from high school, with them graduating at the end of the third season, and bringing in fresh talent to the show -- which is the entire function of the new Oxygen Network show, "The Glee Project."
"That is true. I don't think of it in terms of eliminating or replacing. Because I think the thing about this cast is people love them and they are incredibly talented. They've left sort of an indelible mark," Murphy told Seacrest on his radio show. "The thing that I wanted to do and the cast wanted to do, we didn't want to have a show where they were in high school for 8 years. We really wanted it to be true to that experience. We thought it would be really cool if we were true to the timeline."
That would mean seeing Lea Michele's Rachel Berry, the show's leading character, graduate, amongst many others. Murphy said that, with two adults to rely on, he's confident of being able to make new stars.
"We've got Matt Morrison and Jane Lynch who will stay and be the male and female lynchpins of the series, but I think the fun thing about the show is it's a celebration of youth and talent and I think that just like with the original cast, I think finding those young unknown people and giving them an opportunity to break into the business and become stars is a really fun and exciting thing and is the spirit of the series."

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Talks Shia LaBeouf's 'Transformers' Warning In Women's Health

It has become quite obvious, now, that one must watch his or her words when starring in a "Transformers" movies, especially when the desire to draw vile dictators into conversation grows strong. See: Fox, Megan, and her Steven Spielberg-mandated firing.

But as her "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," replacement, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, soon learned, there's more than just verbal traps to be avoided while filming one of Michael Bay's blow-em-up blockbusters. The warning came from her on-screen love interest, series star, Shia LaBeouf.

“Shia made it clear this wasn’t just about becoming a movie star. The shooting schedule was going to be grueling," Huntington-Whiteley told Women's Health Magazine, which she covers this month. And she confirmed that her co-star was right; their shoot in Chicago was anything but easy. “You’re in the sun all day long—dirty and smelly. It was like boot camp.”

While moviegoers may note the differences between Fox and Huntington-Whiteley, such as their looks and accents, she promises that the issue that got Fox canned from the series is not at all a problem for her. Even if people think it might be.

“People always tell me, ‘Gosh, you’re so nice!' Like they expect me to be a huge b*tch," she muses. Well, maybe after the last "Transformers" leading lady...

She also talks about her love for organic food, something she's shared in the past.

“Thinking about the things that go into processed foods—chemicals, additives," she said. "Sometimes you go into a supermarket and the apples are all the same size and color, but that’s not what apples are supposed to look like. Go to an orchard or an organic farm, and the apples are sometimes knobby, but they taste better.”

TAKASHI MURAKAMI at Gagosian Gallery Britannia Street

TAKASHI MURAKAMI 3-Meter Girl, 2011 © Takashi Murakami/Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd. All Rights Reserved. Prototype of work to be exhibited: modeling by BOME, original rendering by Seiji Matsuyama.
    June 27th – August 5th, 2011
I think the Japanese male sexual complex originated in the two-dimensional world –animation, games and so on – which then transferred to small three-dimensional sculptures. But before my sculptures Miss Ko (1997) and My Lonesome Cowboy (1998), it had never been represented life-size.
    –Takashi Murakami
Gagosian Gallery will be presenting recent paintings and sculptures by Takashi Murakami.
Murakami’s latest group of paintings explores his complex ambivalence to the legacy of cosmopolitan painter Kuroda Seiki, who brought yōga or Western-style painting to Meiji- period Japan. Kuroda broadly promoted the genre of history painting, as well as the validity of the nude figure as a subject for art.
Taking Kuroda’s famous triptych, Wisdom, Impression, Sentiment (c.1900), Murakami consciously reclaims it in a new iteration by applying traditional nihonga techniques like gold- and silver-leafing, as well as recasting the realistically rendered nude figures in contemporary manga style.
When it was first shown, Kuroda’s work caused great controversy because of its content, however, as Murakami reminds in paintings such as Shunga: Gibbons
(2010) and Shunga: Bow Wow (2010), Japan had embraced explicit erotic content in art as early as the twelfth century.
By the Edo period, the long-established genre of shunga sought to express a varied world of contemporary sexual possibilities, often referred to as the creation of a “pornotopia,” an idealised, eroticised and fantastical world parallel to contemporary urban life. In Murakami’s contemporary shunga, graphic depictions of exaggerated and engorged male and female genitals are set against delirious backgrounds of image and pattern.
This theme continues into sculptures, which feature collaborations with key artists working in Japan’s popular otaku culture including Seiji Matsuyama — creator of the controversial manga “My Wife is an Elementary School Student” – and BOME, a figure sculptor who previously collaborated on Murakami’s first life-size sculpture, Miss Ko2 (1997), an ebullient Playboy fantasy translated into manga cuteness and proportions. Whereas Nurse Ko2 (2011) relates closely to the earlier sculpture, with its leggy, busty verticality and sexy uniform (right down to a suggestively loaded syringe), 3-Meter Girl (2011) is an absurdist composition that pushes form and content to new extremes. She stands with feet spread wide, her abundant hair roiling around her like an elaborate rococo frame as if to steady her petite body against the whopping pendular breasts whose size and weight threaten to topple her.
A monumental cast and highly polished metal penis of towering proportions, Mr Big Mushroom (2011), is a realist, manmade take on the traditional stone lingam. Together with Miss Clam (2011), an inviting metal vagina, it provides an exclamation mark to the enduring obsession with sexuality in contemporary human society.

Mitch Winehouse Reignites Music Career, Remembers Daughter Amy as a Child

Like countless other musicians, Mitch Winehouse gave up his dream in favor of getting a steady job to support his family. He was a professional singer in the '70s, but left the circuit to work as a cab driver and raise his children.

"I put it on the back burner," he tells Spinner. "When Amy started to perform she'd get me up on stage and we'd do a couple of songs."

Amy, of course, is his daughter Amy Winehouse, who captivated the world with her sultry voice and littered tabloids with her personal foibles. Now the family is forging ahead and Mitch is singing his own tune.

"The whole idea with the album was I would stand up and be judged by my own work," Mitch says. "The songs would be standards, but not standards that everybody immediately recognizes."

'Rush of Love' includes covers of tunes of jazz and lounge tunes like 'How Insensitive' by Antonio Carlos Jobim. There are also four new songs penned by veteran British songwriter Tony Hiller.

As for Amy, an album is in the works. And, according to dad, she is doing just fine.

"She doing better now," Mitch says. "She has been clean for two and a half years, about that. I'm not saying her problems have gone away, because they haven't. She's dealing with it."

Mitch doesn't take credit for teaching his daughter how to sing, but the family certainly provided her with a musical upbringing.

"In my house there was always music, there was dancing, and singing," Mitch says. "And it was natural for my kids to sing as soon as they could talk. I remember Amy standing on the table and I would leave a word out of a song and she would fill the word in."

But if Mitch Winehouse is using the spotlight to pursue his own ventures, it's not only for the singing. The 61-year-old year old cab driver also appeared in a documentary that explored the government's role in the dealing with drug addiction, and even testified before a Parliamentary committee to discuss the discrepancies.

"If somebody is a drug user in London, and they voluntarily want to come off drugs but they can't afford to put themselves in a private clinic, it's almost impossible for them to get into a residential program," Mitch says. "What we found was that there are some people that are so desperate that want to get off drugs but can't get the help. We found a lot of people are actually turning to crime."

Amy Winehouse Booed After 'Disaster' Performance

Amy Winehouse was booed and jeered during a concert in Serbia's capital as she stumbled onto the stage, mumbled through her songs and wandered off.
Serbian media described the concert late Saturday kicking off her European tour before about 20,000 fans as a "scandal" and a "disaster." The Blic daily said the concert was "the worst in the history of Belgrade."
Winehouse, who has publicly struggled with drugs and alcohol, was almost an hour late, before stumbling to the stage and appearing unable to remember the lyrics to her songs. She dropped the microphone and occasionally disappeared, with her band playing instead.
The crowd at Belgrade's fortress could hardly tell which song Winehouse was singing and responded angrily. Many walked out in disappointment.
"It was horrible," said Ivana Bilic, a fan. "She should have canceled the whole thing, rather than appear at all like this."
The Daily Blic posted a clip from the concert on its website, commenting, "Listen if you dare."
Tickets cost about euro40 ($57) – very expensive in the country where average salaries are about euro300 ($428) a month.
Winehouse recently spent a week at a rehab program in London. Her breakthrough album "Back to Black" from 2006 won five Grammy Awards, but her music in recent years has been overshadowed by drug use and run-ins with the law.

Christina Hendricks: Joan Holloway Wasn't Supposed To Be Sexy

It is the pointed and tightly wound, can't-miss-a-word dialogue and slow-burning-til-massive-explosion story lines that set up "Mad Men" to be a perennial award winner, but it is without question that is its actors, with their nuanced performances and emotional journeys, that make the show such a hit.
While Jon Hamm's Don Draper is the undisputed lead, the troubled and mysterious ad man with a dark past and present day jawline that delivers as many messages as his mouth, the show relies almost as much on its female scene-stealer, Joan Holloway, played by the irreplaceable Christina Hendricks.
It's her early 60s charm -- she seems to bow down to the ludicrous male-female paradigm and inequitable power structure of the era, while actually turning it on its ear to run the office and sometimes, the personal lives of its inhabitants -- that make her performance so powerful, but there's no mistaking that her body, matching the curvy ideals of the times, stands out as its own sort of character.
Hendricks, a long-time working actress with roles in shows such as "Firefly" and "Kevin Hill," won the pre-written role based on her acting skills, but the sexy factor inherent in Holloway was something she brought to the character in large part on her own.
"When we did the pilot, that was not something that we discussed as a trait for Joan," she told Parade Magazine. "This is something that's developed as a combination of the costuming on the show, the hair and makeup, my portrayal of the role, and [showrunner] Matt's [Weiner] writing. It all kind of came together and that became much more of a focus later. It was just something the audience brought attention to."
Now, with that mix of textured acting skill and knockout looks, Hendricks' career is truly taking off. She co-stars alongside Sarah Jessica Parker in the upcoming comedy, "I Don't Know How She Does It," playing a working woman in New York City -- but in 2011, not 1964.
""I play Sarah Jessica's best friend and partner in crime. We're sort of these harried, rushed business women and I'm there commiserating with her on the side," Hendricks said of the film. "We're trying to be perfect mothers and perfect business women and perfect wives. It is a dream to work with Sarah Jessica Parker. She's everything you want her to be: She's incredibly smart and talented and gracious and very giving as an actress. I just absolutely adore her."

Robert Ross, Music Producer, Claims He Was Kidnapped Due To Shaquille O'Neal Sex Tape

A Los Angeles music producer testified that gang members kidnapped him in 2008 and told him the reason was an "issue" with Shaquille O'Neal and his business partner, according to transcripts from a preliminary criminal hearing.
In the transcripts, producer Robert Ross – who has claimed the attack came because he said he had a sex tape featuring O'Neal – testified that his kidnappers beat him and demanded a "videotape."
Excerpts from the Monday preliminary hearing for seven gang members accusing of kidnapping, robbery, assault and conspiracy in the attack on Ross appeared early Sunday on the Los Angeles Times' website.
Ross testified that at one point he had a tape from his home security system of then-NBA star O'Neal having sex with a woman, but it had been recorded over.
Asked by a prosecutor if he really had such a video at the time of the attack, Ross replied, "It was over. It was gone."
O'Neal and business partner Mark Stevens have denied involvement in statements to investigators, and neither has been charged or named in the criminal complaint.
Attorney Nicholas Tonsich, who represented O'Neal and Stevens, did not immediately responded to a phone message left early Sunday morning by The Associated Press.
According to a sheriff's report, Ross told investigators he was kidnapped at gunpoint by Main Street Crips gang members in West Hollywood in February 2008 and taken to the home of the gang's alleged leader Ladell Rowles. He said the gang members beat him, stole $15,000 in cash and some jewelry.
He said another of the defendants, James Harbin, told him he needed to clear up an "issue" with O'Neal and Stevens, and threatened him.

Britney Spears Kicks Off Femme Fatale Tour

Britney Spears kicked off her Femme Fatale tour at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacremento, Calif. last night and from the looks of it, her first night back on stage was definitely a spectacle.

No guitar too small, no bikini top too glittery for the pop princess. She pranced around the stage and danced with scantily clad men, straddled a gigantic guitar and rode a motorcycle all while belting out some of her most famous tunes.

The sold out crowd was in for a real treat. The 29-year-old singer chatted with Entertainment Tonight last week and divulged just a little about what fans could expect.

"I'm really excited," she said. "I'm probably going to be extra nervous the day before but we've been working hard for two months now, and everything is coming together."

With the tour finally under way, fans can breathe a sigh of relief as it has been anything but a smooth ride to opening night. Spears' mental state is constantly scrutinized by critics and after the controversy over opening acts, Enrique Iglesias quitting the tour and Nicki Minaj filling his spot, it seems that things have finally settled down.
